Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
Cave kept their word over AKLV. It's different enough that I re-bought the vanilla version so no complaints there. I fully expect Mushi 1.5 to be DLC but that wasn't home limited and I don't think they made any promises there.
I'm happy for a port to come within months too, I'm only speculating it won't be too quick as Asada has said Mushihimesama is the last planned 360 port. That guy talks a lot of crap though. The tools are in place.

I did, and I'm really liking it right now.SuperPang wrote:
Also, give AK arcade another chance.
Very complex. I never played arcade mode before. It's pretty fun.

This game is giving me the Otomedius X vibe, seems like a cash-in title from cave. If it's just going to be a less thrilling DFK, I'd rather just play DFK since I already own it.

Really? I don't get this vibe at all.NASguy wrote:This game is giving me the Otomedius X vibe, seems like a cash-in title from cave. If it's just going to be a less thrilling DFK, I'd rather just play DFK since I already own it.
BS artwork on the game's page aside... I could have done without the Operetta character and the pilot.

I think it is the artwork that is giving me that impression, plus the stage 1 vid I saw awhile back where it looked sparse and boring as hell.Korszca wrote:Really? It really gave me the doujin soft vibe using the DFK engine.

Might be a bit early, but anyone got any links to highres art? Would be great to make a marquee for this.

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
Any word on this getting a 360 release yet?
Might hold onto my J360 if it's coming out this year.

Word on the street was that Mushihimesama HD will be their last 360 port.
More likely to appear on iOS.

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
OMG, that character artwork looks terrible. And didn't Cave already milk the DDP francise nostalgia angle when DFK came out?
I still think something looks off as far as the graphics go, it looks like DFK, but like it's running on different hardware or something... It has that PC stg vibe to it. Sort of like Deathsmiles II did. The graphics look kind of jaggy and unpolished.
Yes, I'll still buy a 360 port, but I dunno about this one...

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
Waiting to hear some impressions from Pang and whoever else bought it. See if it's worth it.
If there is a really fun scoring system implemented, I might go for it. If the chaining is like DFK, it might make me pull the trigger.
