Indeed. I was in shock for a couple of days after watching it. And yes, season 5 is shaping up really well. Julia Stiles is
I've been watching the new Cartoon Network show, Tower Prep and while being aimed at teens, it's really good. It's the prep school equivalent of Lost but with the added super powers element.
Me and Lu did the season 4 Dexterthon recently and to it's credit, I loved how Dexter seemed a bit darker. He was cracking more than usual, looking more physically unwell/unkept, and the chatting to his dead Dad was looking much more like schizoidism than symbolism. It was mostly just a few directorial touches that got this across, but also the existence of a family to **** up (and a pre-**** one round the corner) helped a lot.
I just think Dexter4 was a little less glossed than previous seasons - and I like it rough. Although it was maybe a few episodes too fat in the middle.
Also we finished the Fringe2athon last night. Someone in the fringe division finally has a fringe!
I like this a lot, and I know this is probably a stupid thing to say as you're supposed to switch off a bit when watching, but they weren't kidding when they said the alternate reality has holes in. How can an alternate reality maintain "slight differences" - such as a "30 year electronic advancement" (they can even put TVs inside tables!) and many changes in population - yet not have had a compound effect changing the entire human genepool long ago?
I know I need to suspend disbelief but I'm finding it a bit of a stretch. I enjoy it more when Walter can make a good little bullshitific explanation.
Just watched the first episode of 'The Walking Dead' in 720p. I'm impressed by the production value of this. It was absolutely awesome and highly recommended stuff. Not the typical gorefest but done with style and great storytelling. Think this is probably how George Romero wanted his Zombie epic to be but lost it somewhere after the original Day Of The Dead. Looking very much forward to the next episode!
I'm patiently waiting for it to air on FX UK on friday but Episode 1 was fab. Loved the old school way certain scenes are shot and the little touches like the crawling lady zombie. The reference material is obviously really good as its full of neat characters and ideas, love the twist with his Mrs.
