Re: Grrr eBay...
Earlier in the week I picked something up on ebay, I used buy it now, £7.50 plus £4.50 P&P, paid by paypal. Go onto ebay this evening just to check if it's been posted only to be greeted with this message from the seller.
Hi, I'm sorry, but I entered the wrong price on this, I intended it to be £17.50. Unless you want to pay the extra, I will cancel and refund.

Yeah I've had that happen....when the seller suddenly realises that others have listed their item for more, and greed creeps in.....

Do they have the right to do this according to eBay seller rules? ****.Paulie wrote:Earlier in the week I picked something up on ebay, I used buy it now, £7.50 plus £4.50 P&P, paid by paypal. Re: Grrr eBay...
Yeah it's pretty annoying. I had a similar type of 'greed' thing happen last year with another BIN item. It was a pretty expensive vinyl toy, over £250 so when didn't arrive I contacted the seller, he refunds me without any issue and apologised, I thought phew glad I've not been scammed. Same day I discover that the seller had relisted the identical toy at a hugely inflated pricedenson wrote:Yeah I've had that happen....when the seller suddenly realises that others have listed their item for more, and greed creeps in.....

I doubt it so I'll leave a neg FB.emphatic wrote:Do they have the right to do this according to eBay seller rules? ****.Paulie wrote:Earlier in the week I picked something up on ebay, I used buy it now, £7.50 plus £4.50 P&P, paid by paypal. Re: Grrr eBay...
Bought two Akishop PS360+ on the 21st Oct from a UK seller. Postage was just shy of a tenner so I was expecting them to arrive pretty swiftly, 14 days on and still not arrived. I opened a case after 10 days but the seller hasn't even be bothered to reply. WTF is wrong with people, if you don't wanna sell something why put it on eBay
On the flip side I bought a beautiful Japanese made Nissyo stepdown transformer, it's absolutely mint and came in its original box, I know these cost an arm and a leg when new (around ¥30,000). It was only £30 BIN plus a tenner postage, weighs almost 13kg so postage was a bargain, was beautifully packed (double boxed) with a ton of packing chips and arrived really quickly too. If it wasn't for sellers like that I'd have given up with eBay a long time ago.

Re: Grrr eBay...
eBay can be such a mixed bag, the fact that sellers are unable to leave bad feedback means a buyers feedback counts for nothing! I have been ripped off by several buyers with over 500 positive feedback

Here's a good one, what do I do here?
29 Mar at 10:12 New offer received: £100.00 for Phantasy Star...
29 Mar at 10:12 Counter-offer submitted to buyer: £110.00 for Phantasy Star... "Hi, this is the lowest I can accept to also cover postage and leave me with a fair price for the game"
29 Mar at 10:13 Your eBay item sold: Phantasy Star...
29 Mar at 10:14 Notification of payment received
29 Mar at 10:20 buyer has sent a question about item "Hey there! Is it possible to send it first class and signed for? I live in an area where people steal mail and this is a pretty rare item so I want no problems for either of us! Have a lovely day!"
29 Mar at 10:21 "Hi, yes I'll pack very carefully and send it signed for, I wouldn't post something worth £100+ by standard mail just thrown in a bubble envelope!"
29 Mar at 10:21 "Okay perfect! Thank you so much!"
29 Mar at 12:46 buyer has sent a question about item "Hey again! Sorry to be a bother but I just checked my account and all my bills have come out at once so I won't be able to afford this for now. Can I cancel? I'll try and buy it when I get paid next month possibly!"

Lame
Hi, all my bills came out at the same time this month, just like they do every month and will again next month. I could never have foreseen this. Can I buy it next month if my bills don’t all come out at once? Thanks.

Re: Grrr eBay...
Refund and cancel ebay sale, IIRC this doesn't cost you the fees.
And block the buyer.

Re: Grrr eBay...
Suspect is was just a case of buyer regret as 3 figures is a fair chunk of change for a console game, we've all probably felt something similar at some point but to try and back out of a sale after you've sent the funds is a bit of a tool-move in my book.

Re: Grrr eBay...
So my one rumbles on, it gets better and better.
02-Apr-19 13:39 "Hi, game posted today, I sent it Special Delivery so it is insured against loss or damage to the full purchase price (signed for only covers up to £50). Tracking number is X - see attached (photograph of receipt/proof of postage). Should be with you by 1pm tomorrow."
03-Apr-19 12:35 "Hey man, I received the item, but from the looks of things I'm definitely sending this back to you.
I was under the impression the game would be in good condition as it specified that on the listing, kinda feel conned because the game doesn't even load for me to play it on my console. Expect the game to be in your hands again in the next few days and a full refund. If you list this item again I'd advise you let people know the condition of the disc."
03-Apr-19 15:01 "Do you have a USA NTSC console?"
03-Apr-19 15:08 "I have action replay that has region free capabilities. I just took the game into town to see if I could get it cleaned but no where does GameCube games anymore so I'll have to send it back. Expect it in a few days!"
03-Apr-19 15:20 "An action replay is not an NTSC console, I can't control whether it works or not on hardware it was not designed to run on. I have photographs of both sides of the disc taken before I sent it and the condition was flawless, no visible marks and it runs 100% on my USA NTSC console. If you choose to return it as "not as described" then I expect to receive it back in the same condition it was sent in. Please do not have the disc cleaned, if you modify it in any way or it arrives back to me in a different condition to the one it was sent in you will not be covered by eBay/PayPal."
We'll see what I get back. Best case scenario it arrives back in the same condition I sent it in and I'm only out of pocket £10 on special delivery and £10 in final value fees (originally listed under a max £1 fee offer which I won't get if I relist). Worse case scenario he is some wannabe scammer who will send me back a different game or some **** and I'll have to fight my corner with PayPal and their hostile approach to sellers.
The best bit is I can't even neg this tool. **** eBay, I'm done.
