So I heard the Mister can play some consoles? PSX or Sega Saturn? So can you get something like Policenauts on there with an English patch and play it with a lightgun?

It can indeed, I use the PS1 core with the PS1 SNAC controller adapter for example to play lightgun games, works great.

It's also a nice way of playing some arcade games via the Saturn core that haven't had arcade cores made for them yet.

I have 6 MiSTer setups, 5 with Irken all work flawlessly, for me the big advantage is the USER LOCK toggle switch to turn off menu access, stops kids and idiot friends trying to change cores etc inadvertently!

The only issue is you can use a kick harness with the CPS bit, but you CANNOT use a 4PLYR harness, so I had to get a different one that supports that, which I still haven't got working right...

Have you contacted him about the 4 player harness issue? Maybe he's working on that?

I didn't know about the 'user lock' toggle on that setup, that's super useful.

MiSTer really isn't set up ideally for having people unfamiliar with it trying to change games.

Is there a switch on the board itself for that feature or can you have it on a button somewhere hidden under the CP?

if you have it in gamepad mode you can map it as you wish. I have set it up so that the menu comes up if press p1 credit+start at the same time. But the mapping are all wonky while running the jamma expander in gamepad mode. I dont think its recommended by the developer.

Yes I did at the time and was told it won't work. Maybe a newer REV does/will in the future.

It's on the board itself, don't see why you couldn't solder and rig it up elsewhere I suppose but I find it easy enough as is tbh :)

Sat down last night to set it up and I need a USB-Micro to USB-C adaptor :problem: Taki's board seems to use just USB-C connections only, I presume I could leave the USB Hub board connected to the DE10 as that has a Micro connection but either way I had no standoffs to be able to mount it right anyway so easier to just get a USB-Micro to USB-C adapter :palm:, it'll probably be late next week before I even get back to it now anyway :( ! might have a route through my spares to see if I have any spare standoffs but had changed settings etc and ready to connect it to the cab so unless I've done something wrong or misinterpreted something it no longer displays on my monitor screen with the picked settings

I’m waiting on one of these arriving: https://misteraddons.com/products/miste ... de-linking

I’m hoping it’s easy to set up for 3/4 player using 2 cabs

Excellent! I was a MiSTercade convert until these issues have started popping up with the V2 board. I see the Irken one is only 200 euro too and no worries then about being reamed by customs.

That with the Taki clones and the whole setup is probably going to come in at 50% the price of a MiSTercade / DE10 setup.

I remember the first time I set mine up and connected it to an arcade monitor the picture wasn't syncing. Turns out it was just the MiSTer config, didn't have it setup for 240p.

So if you connect it all up and the picture is going mental, it's probably just that!

Be interested in hearing how you get on with that, I was considering buying one to share one MiSTer setup between two cabinets at one point.

Not to play two games simultaneously as that wouldn't work, but so you can play hori games on it in one cabinet and then play vertical games in the second one.

Finally got around to playing around with this this morning before my back gave up again :problem:
Anyway got nadda displaying on screen
It works grand on the pc monitor and then put it with invzims expander and pretty much nothing, a bit of lines on screen but outside of that blank, went through various setting but no change of note, now 2 things I've noted is, should the display screen on the expander boot or show up anything? This has been blank there is various lights on 12v 5v HDMI

Slightly stumped on where to go from here with it
Anyone else hook up one of these clones to sins expander?
