well still no luck with this on chihiro ,but its my side more than anything, spent a bit of time late last night with it and had no luck even getting it to netboot,i've been able to send the game to it but all produced errors 31 33 34 etc ,so presuming i'm using the wrong sec chip as i've know managed to mix them all up :palm:
I had an issue with with it not booting from gdroms(as said from mixing the pic ups) but eventually got it to work but **** me is it slow
i managed to load a weird screen i've never before :eh: that was doing a check on 4 boards.

i'll try and sort my **** out properly(i.e. tidy ) the weekend and do it proper

GD-rom is really slow indeed :(
I have Outrun 2 and Outrun 2 SP on GD-rom and loading is slooooow.

Did you finally manage to set your Chihiro up for netboot?
Don't know which dip it was exactly but I have a note here saying "set jumper 9 OR 10 to off".
One of those did work for me.

The check on 4 boards, I have that everytime I boot Mario Kart GP on my Triforce (via Transfergame.exe, as NaoPi is not yet working for me :)).
Only checks 1 board though and then continues booting the game.

I've seen that screen the very first time I loaded (with NaoPi) a Mario Kart game to my Triforce type 3.
I waited and then the game started. That was the only time it didn't check my devices (handle, button, card and camera) and the game started like if it was on a legit cab. After that only time it loads correct but then, after the check, tells me to "Please call an attendant - E20 - wheel error", and I can understand it.
Who knows why it run the very first time...
I hope we'll find what ìs the right configuration (pic and switch/jumper, who knows...) to boot an all the chihiro and triforce.
Thanks again for your efforts

yeah its jumper 9 that gets moved,
i was very late last night when i started messing with this and i got tired and left it ,I had it loading last year and had no issues, it was with a naomi loader pyton script thing iirc and with transfergame as well i think but defo had no issues with it ,now i keep getting errors ,with transfergame i see the game been sent to the chihiro but then getting error 33 ,31 and 34 which to me sounds like pic issues ? i.e wrong pic

actually i must check that python loader with my naomi to make sure it is still working

Don't know. If you don't have an answer before tonight, I'll test it and let you know.

I don't think so, the gdrom disc is encrypted with a key specific for that game and it must match the one in the security pic.

Ahahah, nice to know RoZion ! So no stupid question ? :) I told it 's easy ;)
30 usb stick seems a little too much :) You can write all the images in the same usb and then rename only the one you want to play making it the first alphabetically.
And what's your configuration ? I imagine we're here speaking about a Naomi, no Triforce or Chihiro, right ?

Thanks !

Hi Paolo!
Received your Raspberry Pi and zero pic today in perfect condition! :)

Well, so far the good news, it's still not working on my Triforce.
So it's definitely my Triforce which is the problem. Don't understand it because netbooting works great when I use transfergame.exe.

Anyway, here's the latest log file http://pastebin.com/maununxh
Triforce displays "waiting for network", reboots after about 20 sec and then comes up with error 31 again.
Just like it does with my Pi and zero pic. You do have a different chip number on it btw. But results so far the same.
Going to try it on my Chihiro right now.

Thanks again for sending your equipment Paolo, and tell me what you want me to test next :)

Nice, it was fast... but sad, it doesn't work...
I don't really know...
You could test the triforce starting the loader manually, just to see if tell more. These are the steps.
- connect keyboard and monitor to the raspberry and the ethernet cable to the naomi
- switch on the raspberry only
- login with root and no password
- type "ps" and then a "kill -9 xxx" of the python process youve seen on the ps, being xxx the pid
- type "./etc/init.d/naopi start"
- now switch on the naomi and look at the raspberry connected screen
Tell me if you see numvers (a byte counter) rolling...

Mah... but useful to know it's not a strictly related raspi or pic related problem.

Thanks

Paolo

I will follow the steps you've described next time.
Just finished testing for today. I can't get it to work on the Chihiro as well sadly :(
Here the Chihiro log http://pastebin.com/z82jup7D.
The same error 31 really, so nothing that spectacular I think.

Thanks for helping so far!

i am getting the same error 31 as well ,but i really think its more to do with the setup or something as i'm getting the same error with transfergame and ,the naomiloader (using the pythonscript) i had been using, isnt working anymore wont ping or find device
