Has anyone tried to touch up that instruction glass strip?? I am talking about the silver painted strip on the glass.
What exact color is it? I tried a few colors like metallic silver, Chrome silver.. close but still not matching..

Re: Candy's New Life - New Astro City Restauration
I did that at page 2... I used Silver Edding - was a perfect match.
It is one that applies a (thick) layer of paint - if you push it down, a big blop of paint flows out of the plastic top.
I got another silver sharpie, but that one looks more like a traditional sharpie, with a thick sturdy brush on the end. I dont hink this qouls work as well.

Just found out, that my coin meter stopped counting.
I hear a slight click inside of of, but I dont see the number increasing.
Does somebody has an idea what could be the reason?

I was thinking the opposite. ETERNAL LIFE!TheRedKnight wrote:Candy got sick of the game you've been playing over and over again.

Which screw in this pic did you adjust to make yen mech into 20cent mech?

I seem to have a coin mech prob now as well and I have 2 mechs, one 20 cent mech that is stuck and yen mech which is probably fine (but have no yen)
Was wondering which would be easier to fix

Re: Candy's New Life - New Astro City Restauration

iirc - just from memory:
The red one is for the thickness of the coin. it lifts the whole mechanical part.
the yellow screw allows the golden rocker to move further in, thus allowing heavier or lighter coins to pass thru.
the green screw blocks too large coins. move it completely to the right, easiest setting.
put it in the door again. it has to stand upright to work reliable.
then get some coins.
drop them in, try to understand why and where it gets stuck or falls in the wrong direction.
and adjust the next screw to that issue.
It is pretty forwards and kind of a puzzle for adults.
love that. always the first thing I adjust on a new cab.
Good luck!

Does anyone happen to know what the US equivalent to RAL 9002 would be? This conversion site gave me some estimates in pantone: http://rgb.to/ral/9002"
I assume that would be the easiest way of getting an equivalent color from Lowes or walmart - would I want to refer to coated or uncoated though? (I assume coated as it would be a glossy finish?)

Hi, I know this thread is way old, but was wondering if you managed to get the shine back for the plastic below the P1 controls, and if so, how.

Looking fantastic dude, keep up the good work. I will definitely be taking a few tips from your work to help with my Madonna restoration in the near future.
