Hi everyone! So glad to find a forum full of people who love arcade games.

I am gaming since 1987 (Sega Master System was my first console). Video game collector (had to sell a lot since I moved to UK back in 2011) but still have a few gems (Ikaruga DC, DDP DOJ PS2 and more) ;). My love was always the arcade games and I am lucky to have experienced the arcade culture back in my hometown, Hellas, which was great back in '90s.

Had an arcade gaming break for a long time, as I was interested into other genres (MMOs, online FPSes, jRPGs, 3D action games etc.) but I am now started the playing again the arcade games whenever I can (PS5, Steam etc.), especially shmups and the NEOGEO.

Thinking of buying a supergun soon and a MVS board and start buying some MVS carts and a Cave PCB or two (or the Exa-Arcadia).

I am recently trying to 1CC Metal Slug X and ESP Ra.De (エスプレイドΨ) on PS5.

Peace!

Hi all. I've been on arcade projects and klov for a bit and had not made my way over here. I've been into retro games and arcade machines for a while but did not start collecting until about 2019.
Now I have 3 Woodies, two vewlix, two blasts, one noir and my wife says I have a problem. Maybe a space problem...
Anyway, it's nice to finally join these forums.

Great choices!! Welcome in.

Can you 1cc MS2 and 2 yet? If not, I highly recommend it. They’re extremely rewarding to beat. I’ve still not managed to 1cc X yet, but I’m hoping to soon, so I can work my way through the series chronologically.

Supergun and a CRT is a great way to get into playing real hardware, and MVS is often a relatively cheap way to do it. The MS series, excluding 5 is a pretty affordable series to collect.

Esprade is a beast. I’ve never got past level 4 on a credit, so if you beat it post a vid! Always good to see other people’s routes and strategies.
It’s far from cheap, but it’s one of the lower priced Cave PCBs to pick up. Not super rare to find on sale. Keep in mind that if you’re new to PCBs that most have regional variations (even if it’s just localised text) and these can make big differences to price.
There will always be people on here happy to give help or advice if you want a second opinion on what you’re buying

Hi team, I've been playing video games since 1982 and love arcade games. I'm on all the forums as my user name, but as I browsed this I realized it's pretty cool and decided to start posting more here. This happened after I knocked over the EXA thread because I bought a second hand EXA system and got **** b/c how the customer service rolls with that company. Despite that, I love gaming too much to stay angry and have had a bit of fun responding to some threads on here that I've never done before.

I'm in the Washington DC area and have met many game fans in real life. Although I come off a bit gruff online, I'm very friendly in person and will talk your ear off about games if you want to swing by!

I collect shump, brawler, bad fighter, and unusual game PCBs. If you are looking for something, also PM me, I may have a spare of can keep an eye out for you.

Thanks for being a friendly site!

Thanks Chris! I managed to buy a Sigma Raijin supergun, it’s on its way to UK from Japan!

Also, an MVS board and an official Metal Slug X MVS cart. Can’t freaking wait!

Sheep was selling 2x Esprade PCBs a while ago but sold now so keep looking! For now, I am practicing on my PS5 with a Panthera EVO arcade stick. End of stage 3 boss atm 1CC but getting better. Will defo record if I 1CC or at least send a pic with the score!

Welcome XtraSmiley!

I will keep in mind that Metal Slug 2 is easier, want to get and 1CC all of the Metal Slugs anyway.

Thanks Icarus! The Sigma Raijin SG is an awesome SG, congrats! I find the longer I collect PCBs, the more SGs I end up getting too, so you should check out the HAS as well, if you end up getting a second one, it's my favorite, but I do like some other ones as well, to include the SR.

Hi everyone! I've been getting really into arcade games the past few years. My favorite developer is Taito and my favorite genre is STG, though I love some good racing or puzzle games as well. Looking forward to cool conversations with knowledgeable people!

Hi guys,
I am from Australia, have a CPS 1 cheap multi, CPS2 darksoft multi and MVS with 161 multi cart in cabinets at the moment and a Naomi motherboard I will set up soon.
I am on a few other arcade forums. I also used to work in my local arcade and I now build and supply high quality arcade cables and harnesses as well as other arcade bits and pieces when cheap chinese stuff just won't do. I look forward to meeting everyone.

Hello everyone. I've been on Arcade Projects for a little while but I'm new here. I have a Versus City with a CPS3 inside, Blast City with a Naomi inside, and a TATE New Astro City with a MiSTercade inside. I post about my cabs on my website. I have learned a lot since getting my first cab about a year and a half ago, and am always looking to learn more.

I told myself the Astro would be my last cab, but you know how that goes.

Hi everyone, I'm Reto from Basel, Switzerland.

I've always had a passion for classic gaming, especially with the Gameboy, and lately, I've been diving into the world of retro arcade games. I have a particular interest in fighting games and fun two-player experiences.

Earlier this year, I picked up a MiSTer, and it's been a fantastic addition to my collection. My current project involves setting up a CPS-3 system with Street Fighter III: New Generation, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the Ultra SIMMs soon. Looking ahead, I'm hoping to find a classic Japanese Candy Cab in Europe for my next big project.

I'm looking forward to connecting with other enthusiasts here and sharing this journey with all of you!

Hey all, I just created an account though I've perused for quite a while on the forums. Just recently got my first candy (NAC) and plan on getting more in the future. Mostly using MIstercade, but I did just pick up my first authentic hardware - PGM and a 4 slot MVS. Looking forward to learning about new hardware/games and checking out posts from y'all! :)
