I have the longer version of this and it's only used when required. It has a self timer and thermostat built in (obviously). I've used cheaper electric ones and they were rubbish. It's only ever used whenever the temp really drops or when I am planning on using the cabs, so at the moment not very often.

i have the opposite problem

the heat for the whole building is controlled by the **** idiots on the 2nd floor....we have hot water radiators

i came home from work today and its so damn hot in my apartment it smells like an oven....i thought something was burning at first.....

went downstairs to ask them to turn it down and there response....'duh....i guess we can turn it down to like 20c'...... WTF??!!?

anybody know how to turn them **** off....ive tried turning both the knobby dealies on the rad both ways but it doesnt seem to make any difference

problem is they are beating out crazy heat and my versus is like a foot away from one and i cant really move it....

it is currently so hot in my apartment that i am uncomfortably warm in pants and a tshirt.....its gonna be a long winter me thinks....and i am going to kill my neighbours....its bad enough that my stairwell always reaks of weed cuz they wont go outside to smoke it.....

i go outside....in fact i should do that right now :awe:

EDIT...think i figured it out(thanx google  ) but its still nutty hot....hopefully it cools down quickly.....

they are really old what looks like wrought iron rads.....and they are hot as ****.....like you start sweating within a few feet of them and touching them.....ill advised :problem:

am i crazy or is 20c still way too high.....thats like a summer day for christs sake.....i dont want to make a fuss with the landlord if im outta line....but its hot as hell in here

i like spring and fall....winter and summer are to extreme.... :|

my main concern is i am sweating in pants and a tshirt when its like -15 with the windchill outside......that and the proximity of my cab to one of the rads....and vs. citys are kinda bulky so im kinda screwed for moving it....unless i want it in the middle of the room

i think i have managed to turn off the rad in question....just waiting to see if it cools down....ive turned the knob all the way to what seems to be the closed position, so hopefully all is well.....

i dont want to come home to a melted vs. city
