I thought the cabs were being graded by grant and poolchamp then being allocated to buyers in the order of payment as per this thread...

Container number 3 has reached u.k and will be delivered to storage on 10th,we will have photos at the weekend and i will expect everyone to respond quickly or i will have to choose cabs using a points system for condition.

If I'm not mistaken Grant says that we make the pick ourselves (as long as we don't hesitate too long), but perhaps my understanding of English is not good enough.

well the only way to allocate is for me to issue a points system-impossible for me to do everything in a few days unless a few people wanna come up to northampton and help out

Precisely... If I was one of the first to pay but didn't come online for a few days and found that the cabs had been "cherry picked" I'd be mighty ****.

The problem Tone & Meg had was no matter what you do someone is going to moan - I suspect thats why they stopped. Transparency and accounatbility are the answer. I have every confidence in them being able to grade the cabs so the people at the top of the list get the best ones. Anyone who has been into candycabs for a while probably mumbles it in their sleep : Tube, chassis, cabinet, looms+psu, cp in that order of preference.

These are all used cabs (some more than others) so will all need some work & anyone thinking they can just pickup and it'll be good as new are in for a shock - for the price they have managed to get them for by rights they should be sheds - Blastcitys were £1200 in the last KC order and the exchange rate was better then.....

looks like you will all have to trust me then don't it-maybe the best way forwards is to do the points system,choose the cab on that and then send photo to buyer to confirm that they are happy

If the Atomiswave cabinets look as good as these units then I'll be happy as a pig in ****. Frankly, I understand that some of them may be less attractive (cosmetically) than others, however mine are going out on hire so I don't need mine to be minty fresh perfect as it'll get scuffed up in no time anyway. So long as the bugger actually functions and is electrically safe then I'm happy.

Your the experts.... If anyone can grade the cabs then you can.

I dont think its going to be an issue so long as people can see why cab A is better than cab B - letting people pick is going to be a nightmare especially over the net as apart from burn-in everything else is subjective (and burn-in doesn't show well on jpegs).

Hopefully both suppliers have the same quality control and the other two containers are as good as the first batch. That way almost everyone will be happy (you can't please all the people all the time - so you might as well please yourself).

I just hope the Egret-III's in container 2 are as good as the others (especially as I'm top of the E3 list for that one )
