Oh dear, Oh dear!....The wheels Geometry's all to buggery!, Thought it was hard to push about!!..
A quick little restore is needed here!..dissmantle, & re-align...back wheels were all jammed up, had to grind off old axle & replaced with new stainless bolts!.
Much much better now, parts bagged & upstairs..waiting other parts.
It must have been on the Nurburg circuit & endured excessive power drifting & kerbing!!.

Also metal polished..& brought back a shine!..wheels cleaned & trimmed/dressed!.

I think my OCD Has got much worse!!...

See the clever little ideas?..felt rings around the swivel castor bearings to keep dust out & hold lubrication..a couple of drops of light machine oil soaks straight in!.

Every part of this cabinet has to be amended in stages...& there are lots. :geek:

Cheers Chris! ..

That base had quite a few dents & shunts & grazes in the steel..a little bit you can see....but the other day i dedicated some time panel beating & re-aligning the sides & curved corners...its 100% now. just wants the Orbital treatment & prime and painting.

Noctuas, for sure!!

The Electrocoin sounded like a hairdryer trying to be heard over another hairdryer until I replaced the chassis and PSU fans with these…

Noctua NF-A8 ULN, Ultra Quiet...

Now it’s silent 8-)

I should have shown the Control Panel work first...as it was & still is the part that is commanding most of my time so far.
I'll leave it tonight with these assessment shots of one of the worst parts...again, this had to be tackled in careful stages. & a little thought and patience.
Damn those vandals!!.. :lolno:

Those fragmented towers/fixtures for the missing CP latch were carefully glued back in place..so i could find the centre & rework them with vastly stronger towers...you will see them soon!. :awe: :awe: :awe:

Hello my friend...no, its a Denbigh ...& its a pleasure to use , i have a smaller cheaper clark pillar drill in the other garage at the side..but if you want accuracy this is the daddy!..you can slow it right down with the belts/pulley system.
I use it often, all the metal work that was missing from the Pony were fabricated & drilled using the denbigh.

Wow, very impressive work on the scratched tube! Not that there's anything wrong with any of your other efforts so far, I've never once cleaned any of my cabinets. :shifty:

Thanks man!!...think i'm much worse now with attention to detail & OCD...everything has to be right, if i'm not happy with something i have repaired..or not, i won't sleep until its perfect!..or as near as i can get it.
Cleaning is only one part of it though...all damage has to be erased completely .
I would rather take my time, than rush through half hearted! & make daft misstakes...these days i like my cabs to be as nice inside, as out. :ugeek:

Fantastic thread. It's awesome seeing you give these beautiful cabs the full restore treatment. :awe:

Out of interest, do you know any history of the cabs?
