You won't have a problem with your tube..take your time with the glass polishing kit!!.. 8-)
Just grab a decent quality tin of filler..Davids P38, or Silver Hook, very smooth filler ;)

Excellent! Fingers crossed for you it doesn’t get battered in transit like mine. :awe:

Edit: that’s quite a find though, where did you find yours? Is it in good condition (will you be restoring)?

Veeeeery minor update, but a very cool one. A repro panel from @alberto1225.

Joystick mount (not in pic) also created along with the panel.

Now I just need to fix the body and respray. Maybe next year….

Oh yes, the panels really are a thing of beauty. I look forward to seeing more pics of your Canary in the not too distant future, hopefully.
I have genuinely found it hard to differentiate between the original and repro Vewlix C panel. Good effort Alberto

I'm not sure if he does or not, I've always received shiny repro panels but that is because the originals were shiny too.

Half a story inbound:

So the tube in my Canary is pretty badly burned.

@zak linked me up to an auction on YAJ for an unburned 25” tube that was pretty cheap (~£60 iirc). The reason being: scratched screen. Now the pics on the auction didn’t seem to be that bad in terms of scratches so decided to take a punt. Plus, how often do 25” tubes come up (don’t link me to a billion finished auctions for nib 25” Tosh tubes for <£65 for the love of god…)?

Anyway, it arrived (courtesy of rklok) about an hour ago:

Aaaaaand, scratch wise:

They’re not actually that bad at all. In fact, giving them a quick rub with a little bit of Mr Sheen and I can hardly even see them. Buzzing.

So, part 1 of the story finished (you’re welcome). Hopefully the tube actually works and I can get it paired with a chassis relatively quickly. Check back in a year…
