I bought the system for Space Harrier and although the framerate was terrible I played it all day long :awe:
Was my first console after two generations of home consoles .

It was my first console too. Upgrade from the spectrum. First games I got were Space Harrier and Wonderboy as I loved the arcade versions (the Speccy versions tried hard but weren't quite the ticket), and also Wonder III Dragon's trap, which was an unexpected non-arcade port.

All three are still three of my favourite ever games. Those were the days. *sniff*. :)

'twas an ace console back int' day.

I think out of all the games my brother and I had we still played the built in Alex Kidd in Miracle World the most. Janken's never been so much fun :shifty:

The Wonderboy games were great right enough and although it'd probably be a pig to play nowadays I used to be able to spend hours playing California Games.

Other notable mentions from my childhood memories of the MS would be Fantasy Zone, Chase HQ, Operation Wolf, Mickey Mouse, Xenon 2 and Rastan :awe:

I have a wii and a 360. The only use the 360 gets is as a media player and a little Super sf2 Turbo online, and the Wii is mainly for my gf. I can only play games for 30minute sessions these days without getting restless and bored. Games these days seem to demand huge ninja gaming sessions to get anywhere and almost zero replay value when it's completed. This is why I stick to mainly old 2D arcade games, quick rewarding 30minutes sessions with replay value.
