1) Sega Shed (yep, to the rescue) provided 2 new metal CP plates and then a couple of new NOA-2003s, so I ditched the older metal plates. They really were rusty and too buckled to keep.

2) The color difference is due to the fact I cannot spray any of the cabinets at the moment. Firstly, there are some holes drilled in one of the lower CP units that need to be filled in (P40 bought) and secondly, this is Scotland and it is winter. In order to have suitable ventilation for spray painting I'd need to open the garage door. That would mean I'd either freeze to death or the polar bears and penguins would wander in ;-) Until the warmer weather comes back, or at least it gets above -2 (with wind chill) then I can live with the uneven color.

Bob's unit is not being resprayed as he wants it asap!

Theres two small holes drilled on the underside of the panel, the lock area is fine...
Hi Craig, it's okay - the lower I have is fine (it was from Penhros' second cabinet. I swapped it around and ditched the Pool CP lower. I'll just fill the holes and spray it once the weather changes.

The operator had drilled them and bolted an ashtray to the side - didn't stop them burning the plastics anyway!

All the dubious plastics have thankfully been removed - I have no idea who attempted to work on the original black CP upper, but the whole thing was (as you indicated prior to purchase), completely ruined! Sometimes people should just leave things alone. Best policy, if you are not sure what you are doing, then ask someone who does! If that doesn't happen, then leave it alone! I often have to put this into practice lol.
