The PGM has some really good side scrolling fighters, like the Knights of Valour saga and the Gladiator.
I have a PGM and i think it's a good choice: it is a cartridge based mobo, it's quite cheap and has some other good titles too (dodonpachi, demon front, martial masters)

Re: Side scrolling fighters?
I know this is a bit of an aged thread, but I can't believe that nobody's mentioned Bucky O'Hare! Great early 1990s TV show/comic book-licensed brawler by Konami, and a deceptively challenging one, at that.

I was just going to agree with you and say that this game needs to be in this thread, I had forgotten I had already posted itIntrepidRockman wrote:I know this is a bit of an aged thread, but I can't believe that nobody's mentioned Bucky O'Hare! I was also going to say you should get a score up in the HS thread and then just noticed you have already

Re: Side scrolling fighters?
Most Capcom side scrolling fighters are worth getting IMO. Final Fight is a classic. I'm also like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Captain Comando, Alien Vs Predator. Konami have a good selection to with TMNT, Simpsons (for fun!), Vendetta/Crime Fighters 2. Some great games

Re: Side scrolling fighters?
Final Fight is a must as is Robocop II.... I have to say that as I own them.
And for all the MVS gamers I would also highly recommend Sengoku 3...
Turtles and X-Men are great for 4-player action... just wish I had 4player cab.

X-Men is great to - got the 2-player of this.
Sengoku 2/3 are also great MVS scrolling fighters to.
Hope for some more classic side scrollers to be made at some stage. Always fancied another Final Fight for the arcade!
