Hi there. Just starting out on this adventure. Have a Versus City cab in need of some love and hoping some folks here may be helpful. Looking forward to learning more about lots of this stuff.
I'm Mo and I'm over in Honolulu. I've got a rather large arcade game collection, but mostly Atari Vectors and they are all in storage due to outrageous cost of space here in Hawaii. Being away from my machines for over 3 years now finally pushed me to check out the arcade PCB scene and well, one thing led to another and of course once you start checking out sites online, you end up at the few best, with the best discussion, which led me here. I'm on all the boards with the same handle, XtraSmiley (it's a 90's thing man, when things were XTREME!!!!).
I like to keep my name the same, so when I'm an **** it follows me, and when I'm cool it does as well.
Anyway, to read the threads here are easy, but when I finally wanted to reply or check out the market place, I knew I had to register, and here I am today.
Oh, also, I just went to Japan for a visit and it refreshed my interest in shooters, and I've been checking out the Cave stuff, admittedly 10 years too late. Great stuff, but I suck at them. Trying to play or check out all the games I missed in the past. Thanks!
Hello
I'm Kazetsura, I've been collecting arcade for two years, I started buying two cps2 titles "Dungeons & Dragons Shadow Over Mystara" and "Alien Vs Predator" then I was lucky to be offered a Sega Astro City a Japanese cabinet, it was love at first sight ! Without informing me the most minimal I went for it without thinking twice ... since then I still enjoy this wonderful hobby.
My favorite genres are those of Fighting, Beat em up and Shoot em ups, especially those of Cave.
Very happy to be here and I hope I can learn a lot from this forum
Thank you
Iam clement from france, and i own an Astro city. I play a lot of shmups and some VS fighting too. It's been a long time that i come here. (many years) I think it's time to make an account!
Hi all. I've been doing Neo Geo things since 2005ish (unless you count playing them in arcades, in which case that would be more like 1991 or so).
My current project is a restoration of my MVS U4 that was flooded a couple of years ago. Surprisingly enough, the water, power supply, etc. survived just fine. The 4-slot needed new backup ram but I just took care of that last week.
All that's missing is the front access panel ... someone in the cleanup crew trashed mine. I was referred here by someone on Facebook when I asked around about where to find a replacement. They said I might be able to find someone on here to build me a replacement since they'd just gotten some new parts for their Egret 29.
If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be a huge help. I've been searching both with the forum search and Google and nothing's coming up about repro cab parts.
