What if the legit bidder retracts his bid?

That is exactly what I am worried about. :|

Hopefully he is aware that it is pickup only. ...As I wasn't.

A 340 mile round trip for pubjoe and a fight to keep a straight face when the seller answers the door :awe: :palm:

Or if pubjoe retracts his bid too...

A 660 mile round trip for me and a fight to keep a straight face when the seller answers the door  :palm:

I thought exactly the same. Not sure on the condition of the GBA in those two listings, but it each case it could turn out to be a bargain GBA + game.

The donkey kong one looks nice. Impractical, but nice. The Galaga one looks dreadful.

 *gulp* I'm edging closer and closer to J+ with every post. I'm certain that's 2 strikes now? :(

After the crushing disappointment of the previous GoS auction being removed prematurely I've danger bid on the DK thing - it's a mellow, low risk punt with less thrill and a more palatable outcome. I kind of don't mind if I win though :shifty:

I should've bid on the Galaga one to get the nerves tingling. The GBA looks barely salvageable and as though it's been haphazardly thrown together by a guy with chimps hands :palm:

Maybe I'll try to win both. They would look great as a pair  The seller also has a nice SF2 one up :palm: :awe:

Not this guy...I live in Norwich and bought an old Xbox console from him years ago..good luck crunchy, but I think you'll find that he'll bid it up himself and end it early if it's not at a stupid price for what it is...he's usually got an Xbox coffee table listed too... :palm: you should see some of the other 'arcade machines(?)' that he's listed in the past!

Agh! Shill bidder. What a Cynthia

Thanks, I'll be wary. It'll be interesting to see how this pans out then. I wonder what value this guy's put on what's essentially a GBA in a poorly crafted box  I've a very low limit on this one!

 You don't miss a trick - He has some kind of mame coffee table thing up at the mo... http://bit.ly/RO8PIZ" :palm: ...needless to say it looks like crap - it wouldn't even be a good coffee table. It's too rich for me and is local pickup only - got to watch out for that - price of petrol these days is

The ones in the vids are really well crafted and would be nice as a novelty.

The eBay ones don't even come close :palm:
