I really appreciate that this works on 480p CRTs
Me too, especially given how few users must utilise the feature. There are plenty of games that simply look better on a CRT.
The in-house games tend to have a plethora of screen options. Others are dependant on the dev. Blazing Chrome, for example, is letterboxed, which I can totally understand given the work involved for a feature that nobody is likely to utilise. The developer of SBPM, on the other hand, went above and beyond for the Exa version! - https://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.p ... 3#p1467113
Anyone have intel on whether the regular version of Fixeight comes with the poster and other pieces like the other releases? Looking at the online shop, I don't see any of those items listed but do see them on the limited edition version?

If I could, I'd up-vote/thanks SuperPang's answer.
OT: Are there plans to implement this feature on the board here?

I went a bit mad with a late night purchase (early birthday present). Got Touhou Dengenki (the jury is still out on this) and (hear me out on this one fellas), I also bought...
Axel City 2!

I fancied a fighting game as it's the one genre missing from my Exa setup. I went with this for a few reasons:
It's genuinely exclusive. No console/Steam/Nesica hack.
I'm a sucker for adding games that suit a CRT.
There seems to be a bit of a buzz about this one on Japanese social media.
And you know what? It's great! It's native 480p and looks fabulous. I can never get decent pics of the NNC monitor but it would look right at home on Naomi or Atomiswave. It's polished, there are a butt-load of characters, 3 game modes including training, which is useful as AI is a decent challenge, and it actually seems to have some depth. It's much more SNK than Capcom in terms of gameplay. Art of Fighting vibes.
All of the games on that engine really pop on a 31k monitor. Dynamite Bomb, Vanguard Princess R and more in the works.
The designer of Axel City 2 loves Fatal Fury Special and designed the game with that era in mind - anyone can figure out how to play the game and you have a fully uncensored story (all translated into English).

I'd much rather have Black Finger Jet.
There are a number of run & guns in the development pipeline. After all of the shooters and fighters, we expect people to complain there are too many run & guns and beatemups next.
Four player's is pretty neat, I also like that the game has a stage attack style thing. I find the stage arrange feature in Gimmick really handy when you have limited time to play and want to practice.

is it the first 'beat'em hell' game?, so much action going on with 4 players you may need to watch it full screen on a large display.
"Jitsu Squad x Cat Party Shininden Teyandee, which is being tested on location from the 2nd floor, is being distributed"
Might be ok for a few quarters at the arcade but those voices would drive me absolutely bonkers if i would play this at any length in a home setting. It's almost as bad as that cotton game (don't remember which one exactly)

For once I'm going to agree with you.
It could do with the callouts being varied in volume/pitch/modulation , or ideally cycled with alternative phrases or just a regular attack sound.
That one particularly long call out that sounds like "waylay ya mamma ta" is the most offensive .
Overall i'm really impressed with how they have reworked the game, it was not one I was considering picking up but now I am quite tempted.
Alternatively having an operator setting to choose the voice volume would be nice.
