The cart sharing thing is handy for me too. Very good reason for a family group.

I played a couple of hours. My overriding impression is that the colour palette is **** revolting.

I'm currently green with stripy shorts. The horrible skins boost your skills.

Pretty great fun though. Been playing it with my boys over the weekend. I've actually managed a good few hours myself, which I haven't done for years with a game any larger than Tetris tbh.

Re: Super Nintardbros!
I’ve mentioned this to one of the nintardbros already, but the TOTK switch 2 patch is brilliant.
Only reason I’ve not played DK yet, is not wanting to stop TOTK. It’s BOTW on steroids, betters it in every way for me. The amount of powers / complexity of the controls was really off putting initially and I still fumble about and die occasionally, but it’s won me over.

DK looks really really nice. Too bad I'll probably never play it.

I haven't been able to get into it at all since it was released.markedkiller78 wrote: July 20th, 2025, 6:11 pm I’ve mentioned this to one of the nintardbros already, but the TOTK switch 2 patch is brilliant.

Loved BOTW, played the whole thing through - TOTK.. 25 hours and I just can't. Every time I sit down with it, I play it for 15 minutes now and just switch it off. Even with the Switch 2 update.
Am thinking that maybe the whole BOTW style was a 'one and done' type of thing for me.

Re: Super Nintardbros!
I didn't get into TOTK either. Lots of clever ideas but it just felt like BOTW with mods. I would take a break for a couple of weeks and then completely forget how **** works and what I'm supposed to be doing.
BOTW just feels like the purer experience. It's like taking part in a Ghibli movie, but with **** VA.

I played BOTW for a couple of hours, got out of the great plateau, left it a couple of weeks, forgot what I was doing and never went back.
Might give it another try on Switch 2. If I only do one of those Zeldas I'm wondering which of the two to play.

Re: Super Nintardbros!
BOTW was what sold the Switch to me. Loved it, but the length of doing everything - side missions + main - put me right off bothering with TOTK.

Re: Super Nintardbros!
this is me in every open work game ever , i did feel it was easier to get about in this and get back into missions than others ,the biggest gripe is the cooking and weapons to some extent. but worth playing.havent put anytime in totk yetpubjoe wrote: July 22nd, 2025, 8:55 pm I played BOTW for a couple of hours, got out of the great plateau, left it a couple of weeks, forgot what I was doing and never went back.

Open work sounds about right for BotW and TotK.
