The motherlode of **** cabs
Pity that it's only pictures of them gathered in one place.
You can't firebomb a website.

 It might be worth keeping a beady eye on the website for meets or conventions where they'll all assemble and bring their cabs along...

 it is like they're trying to outdo one another. The CPs that aren't huge are X-Arcade sticks :palm:

There also seems to be a rule whereby as the CP size increases the monitor size does the opposite :palm: :palm:

 that's exactly what I thought when I first saw it -the price of copper at the minute's bound to make the cladding worth more than the rest of the cab :palm:

Apart from the absolutely RIDICULOUS control panel, I actually don't mind the look of that one.

Here's a couple of nice looking cabs from the BYOAC archives...

His definition of paradise definitely differs from mine. P2 has a distinct disadvantage unless they can use right hand stick, left hand buttons. I wonder if that was intentional or if he only realised once he'd cut all the holes?

With a screen like that it'd be akin to driving a real car from the rear seats like Hightower

That page made my eyes bleed. "This beauty is made by..."

What I don't get is that people take the time to cut, route, buy expensive custom sideart etc just to cheap out in the end and put the smallest monitor they can find in there along with a X-arcade **** ( which they could build themselves for 1/4 of the price), preferably with a flightstick placed akwardly somewhere . Then they dub it something like "The ULTIMATE badass mancave Arcade of DOOM". If they'd just limit themselves and plan accordingly like the builders of the American Ace and BellasArcade we'd see alot more appealing home built cabinets imho.

It boggles the mind. Some of the guys that write the work logs actually have some pretty decent woodworking ability but very little taste :palm:

I like to look at them and have a chuckle, some amount of work must go into a few of them, not with great results though

Yeah, the amount of labour, skillz and £££ some people must plough into these turd's probably borders on obscene!

Like the legendary "Raiders of the lost Arcade" on byoac. A turd is a still a turd even if you dip it in gold ;) It's just funny that even the diy cabinets that are well planned and crafted are 99% MAME only. Why not wire them for jamma? You could still install a MAME setup and have the option to use real arcade pcbs if you find your childhood favourite for a decent price. That's just my opinion though.

I agree with you wholeheartedly buddy. Most of these cabs have so many games in them that the owners must spend more time choosing a game & configuring it rather than **** playing them
