Looks very cozy. The red stool need re-upholstering though, right? Or is that a shadow?

Re: Members' Cabs...
I wasn't expecting to see the cocktail back at all but it was at risk from child abuse. Amusingly enough the original owner is visiting the end of this week and he'll finally be able to see the internals rebuild I had to do after his motherboard and monitor cooked themselves. I need to switch it to four way and defocus the picture a little, its slightly too sharp at the moment. Scan lines present and correct though
Stools are all fine!

Having the Versus kinder means with its awkward shape I have no more room for anything else.

Nice one cools,
Great to see some long term hard work finally pay off.
I'm not sure I'd have had the patience
Cheers,
Ralph.

Re: Members' Cabs...
yall have some beautiful setups! I'm so jealous! I'm just starting to get into this hobby, but i live in a tiny studio
Hoping I can find Neo Mini or a Cute... but given I live in Australia this is going to prove VERY challenging.

I've heard that lowboy's are a plenty in Australia. Shouldn't take up much space, and you can begin collecting PCB's while looking for a Candy cab.iflexx wrote:yall have some beautiful setups! Re: Members' Cabs...
Two cons back-to-back.
MAGFest 11: We had a 36,000sq/f of arcade space, about 250 cabs.

Then following week, Ichibancon 4: Took over a tiny room and made a little Japanese arcade.

Sharing the candy love must have boosted my karma b/c I managed to score a working Jojo at Ichi...which quickly became a 3S (with help from two suicided 1I's).

Versus look great ! Japanese cabs again I see, I think mine must be 1 of the very few HK English cabs around.

Re: Members' Cabs...
One exceedingly good condition Taito Egret 3
Colours are good. Not able to get massively high contrast but that was to be expected from the Rodotron/Samsung combo - the trick with these is to set all the RGB pots to minimum, the contrast to maximum, alter brightness and SCREEN to suit then tweak RGB cutoffs to get the levels equal. Do it with an SH3 board (Driller shown here isn't as good for setting up colours)! When swapping boards all that needs to be touched then are the brightness and contrast to get a decent picture. Improves dramatically once it's warmed up. Geometry is typical Rodotron/Wei Ya. I could do with getting at the trapezoid pot but that can wait for another night. Convergence is decent.
