Re: FAQ: Who repairs monitors?
I recently used https://www.tecknoservice.net/ to repair my Nanao MS-8 29 and couldn’t be happier. He’s specialised in Japanese CRTs and is based in Valencia, Spain. The repair was quite quick, just one week including shipping both ways (within Spain) and provided great help before and after the repair through Whatsapp. According to his website he worked in the UK, so likely speaks English as well.

Tecknoservice: I don't recommend them, I have sent 5x Nanao MS8 chassis for repair in the past, all of them broke after 1-2 hours of use.

Re: FAQ: Who repairs monitors?
My experiences with Tecknoservice.
Bought a Toei L292 chassis. Was supposed to be working, came with broken components and a daughter board that was cracked. This was visible in their product page photo, so they accepted this as their fault. However, I was expected to send the chassis back at my cost, so instead I settled for another, unknown condition chassis to make up for it. I had to pay postage for it too. In hindsight I'm not sure why I accepted this, I'm an idiot.
Bought replacement 29e31s flybacks. I asked before hand if they were good quality, better than the HR Diemen ones. "the transformers we have are compatible and are the best we have found on the market". Absolutely terrible picture quality. I bought five, I wanted to send four of the unused ones back. Would not accept returns at first, because "It is our rule not to accept returns on flybacks. So we can't take them back. Even when we buy them we cannot return them." Eventually was able to return them for refund, at my cost of course.
Bought a "good working, perfect job" Electrohome G07. The picture started rolling when horizontal width pot was adjusted. It would not sync afterwards. Was then accused of breaking it, because everything they sell is tested (= turned on) for two hours. Again, I could send it back at my cost to be "possibly repaired under warranty". I decided to keep it and try to fix it myself.
They also don't charge VAT, which, I admit, annoys me as a fellow EU business owner. "for those [businesses] who sell used or discontinued items, they do not pay VAT." I almost choked on my coffee when I read that. They sell brand new, recently made Chinese flybacks. Everyone else charges VAT, they should too.

Re: FAQ: Who repairs monitors?
Heya. Does the community know of any peeps doing repairs / recaps of Chassis in the EU? @grantspain doesn't accept any business outside of the UK anymore due to customs/shipping issues.

Re: FAQ: Who repairs monitors?
Same here. Bought a Hantarex MTC 900/E from teknoservice that died after about 10 minutes….
Wanted me to send it back at my cost. Ended up using it as a parts chassis to fix my original one.

Re: FAQ: Who repairs monitors?
I can point out a very active chassis repairer in Portugal, but be ready to Queue in. Since he's been know after Covid19, he's getting hoards of requests (specially from France) and has been repairing them non-stop.
For reference, he was a Senior tech CRT repairer at Philips. Not sure if he's taking more orders for now.
Based in Portugal.
A bit pricey, but every Chassis comes back full of life. Already sent him 1x Sanwa PM1745 1x Intervideo Tri.Freq and 3x Nanaos (2 MS9's and a MS2932).
