What a shame the marquees can't be downloaded somewhere

Re: Chem's Custom Shmup-Marquees
It’ll happen eventually. I’m honestly no pro with photoshop, these are far from perfect and I’ve held off on making them public to save myself the embarrassment for my half assed approach. Also, some of the images I use are pretty low res, which doesn’t bother me because it just adds some pixels when enlarged (it’s video game art afterall), but I can imagine some getting annoyed that they aren’t ‘spectre-quality’

Just release them with a "by Mikonos" watermark.

Emulation's nice when done well

Re: Chem's Custom Shmup-Marquees
I’m working on my template, last one matched the stock blue marquee which was an extra inch long. I think my new one is a little cleaner, but have to make a proof first.
Do you guys like the brown (left) or purple tone (right) better? I tried to make the art fit the blast motif/colorway a tad more.

Re: Chem's Custom Shmup-Marquees
hmm none of the Crimzon Clover art really strikes me but i’ll give it a whirl later anyway. I’m eventually going to have the game running in a Blast City, so I’ll have to come up with something.
As for resizing stuff for the egret rectangular and astro trapezoid shaped marquee holders, not really a priority at this point.

Care to share the psd file you use as a base? I was asked to make one for DeathSmiles, but I don't have a SEGA cabinet. It would work for a NNC too, right? I would share the DeathSmiles marquee of course, as I always do, just wanted to skip the ground work if possible.

Do you mean the empty frame in the correct size? I asked a handful of people the same and everyone was quite anal about sharingemphatic wrote:Care to share the psd file you use as a base? Re: Chem's Custom Shmup-Marquees
Thanks for the pointers. I know some people in the scene believe time spent by default means money owed, but I always do stuff for free unless someone gifts me cash afterwards without me asking for it, which is a nice bonus.
