1. Its using some generic Jamma Jvs converter. It doesnt have a standard JVS I/O. For the TypeX you run the usb into the card which connects to the Jamma harness. This gives you sound, controls, coin meter, and service / test buttons. You hook up the VGA straight from monitor to the TypeX. You have to have the CGA connection disconnected from the LCD. I have a spare Sega I/O and Sun PSU. I may try and rewire it at a later time. It does not use the Taito Jamma kit. That works the opposite way Im pretty sure. It takes Jamma and converts and upscans it to the VGA. My cab actually tries to display using the CGA option into the LCD. Its pretty bad. :D

2. It runs JVS fine already. Pics and info relating to my TypeX2 is in start of the thread. Ill take some better pics of the card and wiring.

Most LCD screens look bad when fed a 15khz signal, so it's not a big surprise that Progear looks crap. Even my Pioneer plasma that actually does a pretty decent job at upscaling look nowhere near as good as a CRT. And it's also very likely that this upscaling causes lag.

The best method that I know of to improve both the image quality and minimize lag is to use an XRGB-2 or XRGB-3. This will provide lagless upscaling to 480p which will probably improve the image quality a lot and also enables fake scanlines if you want.

Could be worth looking into.

Most if not all Arcade Screen will look bad with the XRGB or the SLG with scanline emulation as the resolution will produce moire patterns.

It does not have the Taito badge on the back and is not wired by Taito. Dodgy knock job, I wouldnt say that.

Thanks. Yeah, that song is called 8-bits and it is a local favorite here in Austin. Nothing feels better than everyone rapping along with that song in a club. :D

Well it's either legit or it's a knockoff, there is no in between. I have nothing against knockoffs, was just wondering. I like the look of this and wish I had the money. :/

Well you have to consider the Yen to Dollar rate at the time. So about:

Cabinet = $1950

Shipping and all other charges = $800
