People have used a USB Bluetooth dongle and wii remotes with a program called blue soleil on mame machines.

A lot of people seem to be using [Ultimarcs AimTrak].
The electronics are €39 and the gun shell is €39. If you wanted to save money you can install the electronics in some old defunct lightguns you may have lying around or that you could pick up cheap.
