Oh wow. I'm blown away by this news, so happy at the prospect of seeing new SNK games back in the arcade. Sam Shodown V Perfect is a day one purchase for me. Thank you Exa.
First Cave, now SNK. exA-Arcadia really is shaping up to be a must have somewhere down the road (read; when the wallet finally allows )
Keeping my fingers crossed for a brand new Metal Slug exA

That would get me on board!!!
I’m just looking into this now… I read that it’s compatible with 4:3 31kHz CRT cabinets. I’ve googled and can’t final anyone doing this. Is it actually possible, or are all of these machines run on Vewlix cabs or flat panel screens?
On one hand, it is nice to have a game released to the new platform, but on the other, is it really profitable for SNK to mass manufacture decades old game cartridge anymore? The only ones that are doing it are the home brew developers selling dated game hardware through passion projects. Even though SNK does own both Neo Geo and the Samurai Showdown, we cannot guarantee that SNK would be interested in a limited print run with their game.
Yes, I did see that Samurai Showdown V Perfect, one cut above special, was released onto Samurai Showdown Collection a few years ago and one poster told a tale on how that game was rescued from obscurity. I don't know how much exclusive content is going to be added to top off everything else, but it's a nice addition nonetheless. Good luck with the upcoming release.

So Perfect isn't even complete fyi. Special wasn't really finished- we know that. Original dev helped get Perfect out- but there were some omissions that regular Special had (some small edits). A chance to combine them, finish the game, re-balance a couple things- hell yeah. In.

Yes, 31kHz CRT cabinets are compatible. You will need an HDMI or DVI DAC and a JVS I/O and it will work out of the box. I believe exA recommends a DAC that has been tested to work, not sure where on the site it is though. You could contact support to ask if you can't find it.
