It really is a sextet of dream catchers.

“They are all based on simple high school physics - "Sympathetic Resonance". As all elements in this universe will resonate when like pattern energy is generated from another material.”

Was I off that day?

Your first decision is whether to take a punt on second hand or go to a dealer and buy new. The former offers more bang for buck but you're more likely to find a sound you like with the latter. Richer Sounds have loads of cheap integrated options. I'd personally buy Japanese, Marantz, Yamaha, Onkyo etc.

With a 5 minute supermarket sweep at RS with a circa £500 budget I'd go for Marantz PM6006 and DALI ZENSOR 1.

This is what I use with my PC/bookshelf speakers, it’s excellent.

Cheers Bros :awe: I’ve never owned or played with any Marantz stuff, but did see the Onkyo. Easiest thing is to listen to yours one day :fastlove:

GrimmAudio did that years before and their LS1 sounded glorious at a dealer, also at about half the price. And the active KEF LS50 do it for a tenth of the price, also not bad.

Google have confirmed they have stopped production of the Chromecast Audio. A great little device for adding streaming functionality to your stereo. Grab one while you can.

Sonos connect is my favourite streamer, I go from that to a Chord Hugo TT and couldn’t be happier with the sound.

I've been very happy with my TT. Lovely bit of kit. I'm hoping to demo the TT2 against the Luxman DA-06 later in the year, funds permitting.

Are you using it for headphones or it hooked up to an amp? It works really well as a digital pre-amp as well if ultimate transparency is your thing.

My Chord TT feeds a pair of ATC SCM50 active towers, I would love to have a listen to the TT2. :D

Ultimate transparency is what I am trying for, but... I did have a bit of a play with the DSP settings on my Roon trial, it’s only a two week trial and probably not going to join up.

Ooh, very nice. Would love to blow the cobwebs away with some Massive Attack on those.

I'm sure the TT2 is great but I'm a bit skeptical about the M-Scaler and the ferrite covered BNC cables people are buying to sort out the RFI.
