Saw this just now in a Facebook post: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ULTRASONIC-VI ... Sw95lXE6kW

The guy who bought one is very happy, he checked the records after washing with a magnifying glass and couldn't spot any dirt. 8 records at a time, very effective too. It doesn't have a vacuum drier though.

Fun fact: If you have an Ikea kitchen, the black bucket might look familiar, as it's a waste disposal container. I have a few of them myself, but for vinyl storage. :awe:

Not with these speakers.

Not sure how well the maths add up with the input sensitivity on valve power amps either. I don't think I could be faffed with valves. They look good though, and keep you warm in winter.

:lolno: I don't know how often or long you are listening but I have to change valves every 2000 hours which is about maybe 4 years not considering aging and breakage. Haven't used my amp in the last year because I couldn't afford the complete overhaul yet

Never go the valves route on power amps if you just want to use your stereo. Valves in a pre are ok, but in a power amp a big needless pain unless you like faffing around.

Considering my personal experience I rather have something Class A with transistors. Or better still Class A/B and I don't have the fear of burning the house down by accident.

There are MFA bargains to be had in the second hand market but I couldn't resist having one made to order to my own specification.

It's really special. Completely transparent but in no way clinical sounding. Vinyl somehow sounds sweeter and more analogue than ever.

Just demoed the B&W P9's with AK120 & iPhone, good lord their impressive!! :-o
Stomp on my P7's as they should for the price tag.
In another league, deeper bass with a much more open and spacious midrange and highs that are kept under control nicely.
The P7's sounded so closed in comparison!
For gods sake, its a carton box - not the holy grail!

Ooh interesting. I really like the P7 but went with the Oppo PM-3, in no small part due to the look and comfort. The P9 look much nicer.

I think had the oppo's been there when I was thinking about the P7's they would have been a serious contender too.
But it really is staggering how good everything sounded on the P9's and how much a step up they are to the P7's, the staging and depth is above and beyond tbh. They may not be everyone's cuppa but if you've been impressive by the P7's you'll be wowed by these!
I'm seriously considering today as they took everything up to 11 on the ak120, high def or not! ;)

I really like my PM-3s with my walkman, very smooth and musical but things get a bit too dark when I add my Chord Mojo so I don't end up using it as much as I should. Could do with some crisper more spacious sounding closed headphones.

The dream would be Audeze LCD-XC but they aint half pricey and even Giovanni Ribisi can't pull off the look.
