My NAD is on it's third? laser/drive since 2007.
But drives are cheap as chips and easy to replace, so it doesn't bother me that much.

Wondered who you were talking to for a minute!!! :eh: No it's a standard RP8. Couldn't justify going for the RP10 at twice the price.

Yeah I had to google "Rega" and "Queen" then understood

Yep sounded great in the demos I had so looking forward to the arrival of the other bits next week. I'm gonna be living on bread and water for a while now though

You do indeed. Just need to work out what to connect to it to allow me to play my ripped CDs. Am confused now. Demo was with a Melco which was great but seems a lot when something like a NAS would be much cheaper and do the same job! Still I can play my vinyl now at least!!!

So use JRiver & output to the Hugo via USB and use as a line level input into the amp?

Yep. You'll need to install the Chord drivers if it's Windows.
Holding crossfeed whilst you turn Hugo on sets it to a fixed 3Vrms output suitable for most amps. It can also drive most power amps directly as a digital preamp. You can leave it running 24/7.
