I think so. Do you mean avoiding X intersections as they expose multiple compartments when broken?

Exactly. The top most archer's black brick gives full access to your base when broken.

I thought the surrounding buildings would make it hard/impossible to pinpoint that piece as a target, as you can't drop troops near that bit of wall.

One wall breaker dropped to the right of your lab will go straight to that brick and open you up like a hot, moist and welcoming lady garden. Wallbreakers prioritise bricks connected to 3-4 other bricks. Giants will take the tower first once they break the weaker wall, that brick second. Dropping the giants first, then the wallbreaker and they will go to town on you after that.

Ahh, I thought they'd just go to the nearest wall. Thanks. Saves me learning the hard way.

They go to the nearest closed compartment, but if dropped in the right spot, they're going straight there.

Thanks Coc maestro.

Also, about the spread out buildings... Is it a one square border of no entry? Two square spaces are ok, any more will leave troop deploy gaps?

You can see the closed space as you place the buildings, it's the shaded white and outlined area on the ground, open space is unshaded. Two spaces per building is fine.

Cheers, I thought so, but it'd be tricky to confirm in practice. Sorry for all the questions.

In time, he found another, simpler way to shield himself. When a member of North 44 would quit the game, Mr. Yao would take over his account. Then Mr. Yao would use one of his multiple accounts to attack himself when he needed a shield. In order to pull this off, though, he had to keep all of these other accounts highly ranked, which meant playing as many as five accounts at the same time, around the clock. Another wealthy clan member in the United Arab Emirates bought Mr. Yao three iPads to make this feasible — but even then, it was feasible only in the technical sense. At one point, he was bringing five iPads into the shower with him, each wrapped in a plastic bag, so that none of his accounts would go inactive.
Bet Joe's the first to get a personal break kick

I had to google what you meant ...by personal break. :palm:

I didn't even play it much last night. Just kept trying to sleep for an hour, failing, quick coc twiddle, repeat.

Rossyra wrote:New base is okay Joe, right most collector isn't protected at all like that. Those walls are better used on another compartment inside. The best you can do at TH4 is roughly arranging your towers in a 9x9 sudoku shape with the mortar in the middle. You can offset each row of towers by 1 wall square to make it harder to open two compartments at once, if you know what I mean.
Ha, that's exactly what I've done;

Excellent symmetry.

All I would say is having your TH in range of the defences counts you out of getting 'free' shields from trophy hunters. You'll only ever be raided by people who will be taking resources as well. Not that big a deal at TH4, but something to bear in mind.

So tonight I installed Bluestacks App Player (windows android emulator) on my PC so I can play with my coc while sat at my desk. Saves the battery life on my Nexus and is a bit easier on the eyes (24" vs 7").

Then had a cunning plan, I don't think I'm the first to do this, but using a macro app like autohotkey you can keep your coc logged in with a simple key press loop.

Some might consider this to be cheating a bit, but apparently it only works for 7-8 hours or so before the server logs you out anyway. Personally I would only use this trick to stop my base from being attacked while my weapon upgrades cook overnight, as base defence is a fun part of the game, as are revenge attacks etc.

Anyway its useful if you need a 6 hour shield in a pinch and is a hell of a lot saner than 5 ipads in the shower. I'll post my autohotkey script if anyone wants it.

Can't get CoC working on Bluestacks, it says 'device isn't compatible' when I try to install it. Any ideas?
