Lovely setup Mark.

Finally got myself a decent Paranoid. Drums like thunder.
Congrats.

Been watching a few. I heard an original when I picked up the TT. The percussion was so clear despite the record it's self being dog rough.

Have you had some crap ones before joe, or just a case finally tracking down an original pressing?

I only have Born Again by Sabbath. Vertigo. Should give it a spin.

It's the third and last 1970 Vertigo swirl pressing. Ex/Nm, £82 :wtf:

To be honest, Sabbaths early stuff is very well produced and I really like my digital versions too. I'm sure the Vertigo spaceship and NEMS pressings sound great too.

Going to sell an amp and can't decide which so it's time to ask the experts :awe:

Should I keep my NAD C350 of Cambridge A5?

Not got a preference as far as sound goes.

I have always been a massive fnm fan and can state with no uncertainty that it is fantastic. I would say it is a grower rather than an instant classic but the depth of music on offer here is breathtaking . Could have done with one other proper heavy song to balance the album out a bit more. Patton is on top form and I could go on but just buy it

Yes. You can get mono cartridges but they're far from essential.

Head-fi quote of the day:
Just pulled the trigger and ordered myself a pair of white PM-3's. I can't wait for them to arrive, I need a portable planar, I tried taking the HE1K to the grocery and felt like a nerd.

I plan to enjoy my current tone arm/cart for a year or two then upgrade to an SME with a high end Ortofon at the dealers. I find it worth the extra to get it installed and guaranteed. Plus I can get the whole thing serviced while I'm at it. I'm very happy with the sound as it is.
