Re: Varnish connoisseurs
picked up a red blade runner vinyl for the missus (not my pic)

stunning piece of vinyl ,maybe its the transparency with the red but it just looks way nicer than other 180g records that i have.

I really should have bought the Airport Express years ago. What a great device. It's plug and play, extends my WLAN, and sounds already fab with it's line out into my trusty old NAD 320BEE.

Re: Varnish connoisseurs
Looks great. Do they offer delivery on open box/clearance items, even for collection at a local branch, or are they strictly pick up only? A drive might not be out the question if not though.

Re: Varnish connoisseurs
I would give them a call. You might be able to sort a courier out to pick up from their branch? The stand is silly money rrp.crunchywasp wrote:Cheers![]()

Re: Varnish connoisseurs
I'll give the Middlesbrough branch a ring first and see if they can sort something out. It's a bargain at £75. Thanks for the heads up

Welcome to the club crunchy
What models are they? Any disc errors?
The clearance Hark 2's are in varying condition to say the least. Some are mint, some are ruined.

Good matches for Cyrus include B&W, Spendor, Pro-Ac, KEF, PMC and Dali. Avoid Monitor Audio. Laid back, musical, bassy soft-coned speakers compliment Cyrus.crunchywasp wrote: I need some good speakers

Re: Varnish connoisseurs
What's the best place(s) to buy new vinyl?
I see a lot from the U.S. For £12-13 shipped. Do they arrive in one piece?
Also, any recommended LPs that are cheap-ish?
I'm going to buy rumours - fleetwood Mac as a start

I'll call a couple of stores and ask if they can send some pics before I commit to anything.
Thanks for the speaker tips. I'll have a look around at the ones you've mentioned

Re: Varnish connoisseurs
The Dali Suits look great and seem to get glowing reviews. It's floor standing speakers I've been looking at too. How much would you be after? I'm off work Mon & Tue too so could collect if you were about.
