No GC support - but not a surprise because the last version of the normal wii didn't have it either.

And heres the killer

No internet support, so probably no wifi chipset at all.

WOO!!

It's like one of those ... pack in tv game things basically.

Why would anyone buy this over a used Wii? :awe:
:problem:

I didn't realise the standard wii dropped GC support. Yeah, kinda a hard sell against £40 wiis.

Is it actually any smaller?

I do like the style. They should have made the wii u look like that.

I actually quite like the fact it's a console that plays games and nothing else.

Just realised it's a top loader as well, rather than slot load.

It's Nintendo's Dreamcast!

I like it. Reminds me of how consoles used to look. Its fun.

Pointless though when you can pick up a normal Wii for cheapness and its not like the Wii is big anyway is it.

It is the quality of the games that make the system not a spec sheet. Sure it will be better than ps3. :awe:

I agree. I liked that the wii didn't try too hard to be a "hub for your digital life" too.

It'd be nice if these are dirt cheap in the future like the gba micro but I doubt they'll be produced in enough quantity.

Which is a good job because apparently it's a pig to develop for, some ports are worse than the existing versions and many are full of bugs.
It sold 400k in its first week in the US, which sounds pretty good until you discover that black friday week saw 750k 360s sold.

I think it could be a hit if Nintendo stop deluding themselves thinking they can attract both hardcore and casual gamers.

Mine's been shipped too, should be here tomorrow 8-)

Hopefully some enterprising Chinese mateys will get on the case and start producing larger capacity batteries for the controller that actually fill all the available space. I dread to think how long it'll take for Nintendo to release one. Just over three hours play is unacceptable really.

Regarding the Wii Mini, where's the SD card slot? I imagine the sync button is on the rear as there's no visible front panel. I wonder if they've removed the SD function completely or just put the slot on the back?

One thing I want from the next generation of consoles, wireless controllers that are lag free, easy to charge with good battery life and that don't lose sync. Also no **** about with profiles all the time.
