When I started collecting vinyl, I sold some pretty rare CDs after I got the albums on vinyl.

Nowadays I've got a faulty Sony PS-Q7 in a tiny studio apartment and I wish I still had those damn CDs... :problem:

Anyone fancy a Cyrus Streamline 2 before I ebay it? Just add some easily driven speakers, a NAS (preferably wired) and an iOS or Android device for a great sounding mini system.

Things like that makes me sad I haven't had the idea in the first place. Just thinking about the profits give me fuzzy feelings.

I can hear differences in some cables, particularly analogue but the mind boggles at how an ethernet cable can make the 1's and 0's sound better. That said, Audio Quest do listening comparisons of their networking cables at shows. :wtf: I wonder if they serve alcohol?

I much prefer the Led Zeppelin reissues on vinyl. The treble is a bit harsh on the digital versions for my tastes. Super-clear pressings too (although a little less than flat). Can't see a reason to own expensive first pressings over these. I think my collection will be a mix of both.

In other news I had an exciting brush arrival :awe: :palm:

My best sounding vinyl has to be Heldon's Stand by. Pressed in '79.

Wish I could've bagged a signed one from Billy's tea shop but they sold out quick. Got an Airoplane Flies High though.

I can't hear a difference in cables. Therefore they better serve proper hand jobs by beautiful hostess girls because at this price alcohol alone won't do. :problem:

I've blind tested speaker cables. I believe analogue cables can colour the sound slightly but digital information is either there or it isn't. Just my 2p but people swear by what they've really heard or haven't.

Gordon Bennett...
I've read the Euro print doesn't suffer from the same tracking/sound issues as the US one does and is the version to get. (Guess which one I currently have :problem: )
It can still be found for a decent price, however: http://www.discogs.com/sell/release/4091614"
A numbered first print sure would be nice, but I wonder how it compares to a "good" pressing of the remaster...

In other relevant to the thread news, my U-Turn table is scheduled to arrive tomorrow :awe:
