Made some risers for my speakers from cheap Ikea cupboard handles. Success!

New Audeze EL-8. $699.
Audeze's wonderful planar magnetic sound for the masses.

More of a glimpse. They're being officially revealed today. I know $700 is a lot for a pair of headphones to most sensible humans but I can guarantee that'll be the best $700 one could spend on upgrading your audio. The fact that he hints they sound almost as good as the LCD-X is quite an achievement. I wish I'd got the LCD-3 now :palm: Not sure about that veneer mind.

You can't be serious. Didn't you buy it almost half a year ago?

I thought they were made to order within 2 weeks. (says Doug Brady HiFi)

I hope you haven't paid already - this is quite fishy to me :problem:

The dealer is legit. Massive backlog at Michelle Engineering due to demand. I'll chase it up again tomorrow. It's a Gyrodec.

Meanwhile, if anyone's looking for a more sensibly priced TT, Moorgate Acoustics got more Rega seconds.

Something small to play KOF games on Steam (Windows) with both VGA and HDMI/DVI out, and preferably with USB ports in the front. Any recommendations?

I forgot to mention that I have a Vaio in the house with an Intel HD 4000 in it, and that doesn't cut it for KOF XIII. Been browsing a few webstores I can't seem to find anything nice with something better than that, except a mac mini with HD 5000...

Pay attention. This is the thread where fools with more money than sense (aka not a lot of sense) list their spare Chord Hugo ( :palm: ) to pay off the overdraft and end up trading it for an Auralic Taurus Mk2 with some guy from HFWW.

Sounds amaze though :awe:

Haha! Nice. Whenever I sell stuff it's with the intention of doing something responsible with the proceeds, then even before the extra cash is sitting in my account I start thinking about what else I could be treating myself to :palm:

I like to think that everyone here operates on the same basis

At least I can sell my Burson amp. And I need to lose a pair of headphones, not sure which.

The guy brought an Astel & Kern AK240 with him. Much smaller than I expected, actually quite pretty (the AK240 that is, not the guy. :fastlove: )
