It's the MAME cabs that really irritate the crap out of me. I have some RSS searches as live bookmarks in Firefox for various arcade items. As new stuff pops up, if it's dodgy I'll report it.

Now this is something special - not only is the outside a pile of ****, and the controls awful, but i remember reading somewhere that one of these had been taken apart and basically the guts of it were from one of those crappy knock-off games-systems that have 100 nes games or something on them and cost £10 at Christmas time from your local market.

I cannot beleive someone has actually bid on it....

Yes indeed. I did buy an Arcademania cab for £75 on ebay, disect it, post a sarcastic review of it on amazon, Fit a 19" tft, MAME it and re-sell at a profit.

I like mame, and because i dont have a huge amount of spare money i cant afford to buy origional boards so mame does me fine even tho it isnt 100% accurate.
I have an Astro City that I have converted, and by 'converted' i mean i have put a pc board inside and connected it up to a j-pac. From the outside it is just a normal Astro City. Why the hell would anyone butcher a lovely cabinet like that one with hundreds of **** buttons and stuff just to be able to say they can play arkanoid and space invaers on 1 cp?? he had a lovely machine and now it looks like ****.

I actually find ones like that more offensive than the butchered woodies you see as most of them were pretty crap to start with but this one needed no work at all to be lovely....

And, just to make it worse, he sticks a bloody PC on the OUTSIDE!!
