back in the day most screens were down like that mostly zacarria cabs, then came monarch video masters, then jamma came in and nearly all cabs had upright monitors

Haha!! When I first saw that and read "Sit down cabinet". I thought he had cut a whole in a sheet of wood, stuck it in front of a monitor and dumped an armchair next to it.

This guy is dreaming if he thinks that he can build a wooden arcade machine, bolt too many buttons on it, have a proportionally tiny monitor, and then honestly think that they can get £1,250 for it. Also, for a self written frontend, that sure looks familiar!

It's the MAME cabs that really irritate the crap out of me. I have some RSS searches as live bookmarks in Firefox for various arcade items. As new stuff pops up, if it's dodgy I'll report it.
