Since im a complete beginner with any sort of hardware like this.. how would I go about hooking my 360 to my plasma with this? will I still be using HDMI and then through to VGA??

I would absolutely LOVE to get scanlines for classic stuff on my 360.. I NEVER play them because they look horrible!

and OMG!! What is it with people like this:

Pasted from here: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2011/0 ... _scanlines"

So... You pay for a device that literally makes a LCD TV look like a CRT TV... Which means it will make it look worse... Did I get that right?
Some people just can't leave the past behind, can't they? They are just so blinded by nostalgia that they just have to have everything look like "the great ol' days". I find that kind of sad really.
That look is what makes me glad they don't make CRT TVs anymore. I like my games to look crisp, sharp, and clear with all the pixilated glory. Lines going through the screen with blurriness always annoyed me."

Sorry but I REALLY want to slap people like that... RIGHT ACCROSS THE FACE!!

Just make sure you set the output of your 360 to 480p and you're good to go!

Gotta love the cult of the pixel, defeated by non-square building blocks and unfiltered integer scaling.

Ignorant **** :p

Honestly yes we are a bunch of nostalgic fools that crave for an "inferior" picture than what we have.. Try explaining that it actually looks better to someone like that... would be like pulling teeth!!!

It's funny how much people spend on scalers and other such things, despite people giving CRT away..

Im pretty sure the HD fury is way over budget for me.. is that the only way?

Also: what video settings are you guys using for the ps3 setup..? Im new to ps3 and from the looks of it you can only set it to either 576p, 720p or 1080p... no 640x480 :(

Can someone shed some light please?

K thanks bye!

I think you have to use a NTSC PS3 to get 480p, search the forum.
