Well I've picked up an I/O - the thing is, as arcade hardware gets more advanced and goes all HD, don't you think it's a wise investment? Even if I end up waiting five years until SF5 is out and I can get IV for the cab for cheap and I'll have the equipment needed to run it.

I think to be really appreciated it has to be in an HD cab man , the hoops you're going to jump through - combined with the expense all to run it in an egret 2 just isn't worth it. You're better off waiting till a home port comes out, and even shoehorning the PC port into the cab.

Up to you though, its your money, although I wouldn't expect you to be playing any time soon unless you have a LOT of spare money to be chucking around.

I'd wait for the port, simply because it has more characters, you won't just be playing it one player, it has online play, training mode, and will look pretty much identical in HD anyway.

Whats the point of running it 15KHz in 4:3 ratio? none really.

You have a point dude. I just like the idea of, well, playing fighting games on cabs. I never really liked balancing sticks on my knees the same way - but then without playing in true 16:9 that's going to suck and I really didn't factor that in.

I'll see how it goes. The I/O may still prove worthy, especially if I can grab some cheap Naomi stuff. If not - well, it may be for sale again in the future!

You'll be able to pick up CvS & a Naomi mobo for £40-50, VF4 evo & N2 for £150. GD rom setups are still pretty expensive, but the games are cheap as chips.

As I was saying in another thread " I think you would be mad to shell out that kind of money (no idea what it’ll cost on release) for KOF12 to run it on an E2, just my opinion of course.

I still stand by it. You can pick up KOFXI & an AW mobo for <£250. It's a good game, or at least I like it
