Mounting the beefy Hyper Neo Geo 64 Mobo - good idea!?

Post by slapaham »

I like to mount my mobos... however, I'm a bit concerned that if I mount my Hyper Neo Geo 64 tank of a mobo in my Astro City it's going to either a) buckle the bracket or b) fall under it's own weight... or am I being an old mother hen? Just seems too heavy to me... :?

I do not have a Astro but my cabs have a plywood panel for fitting pcb,s and the Hyper fits on either with no problems.

To buckle that kind of steel you'd need a weight you couldn't lift :)

You could always throw it out the window, or use it as a car jack...

While I have to say it's not the greatest system in the World for just how cheapy it is, it really isn't as bad as some people would have you think... ;) You'd be a right plank to pay too much for one/the games though!

Cheers Tony! I don't think some people realise just how **** heavy these things are so it's good to know you did exactly what I'm proposing and your cab didn't collapse under the weight of it!
