SEGA Aero City history, anyone know it well?
Does anyone know a decent history of the Aero City, possible models that were made, etc?
i know i have seen the flyer with a couple different colors, this one...

the reason i ask is, i was picking up a Konami Windy cab and the seller had this little gem which he was gracious enough to sell me...besides the blue versions and people's re-paint jobs, i've really never seen another color in someone's possession.

I've seen a dark yellow almost orange version on YAJ and I know there were several different factory colours.
Yours looks like it just needs a clean and it'll be fine.

yes it'll get a good cleaning, also needs a new chasis which i have on route plus some new locks as i can't get a key for it. otherwise i believe it just will need sticks and buttons, oh and a coin mech, there isn't one in it at all.

$70! That's about £40... Even with a broken chassis I'd pay £150 - £250 for one!

yea it was a stellar deal, great guy who sold me that aero and a windy. imported the cabs like 10 years ago to the states. it's always nice meeting cool people when you go to buy gear like this because it's better odds the person may be a completely anti-social person.

Where in the states did you managed to land the cab?jonny wrote:yea it was a stellar deal, great guy who sold me that aero and a windy. imported the cabs like 10 years ago to the states. it's always nice meeting cool people when you go to buy gear like this because it's better odds the person may be a completely anti-social person.
I just picked up a beat-up Areotable, and I can tell you it cost me a heck of a lot more than $70. Cosmetically, yours looks WAY nicer too. Nice pick-up!

central Ohio, i managed to get a naomi universal, konami windy, and aero city in central ohio in the last couple months. makes you wonder what prizes sit covered in dust in people's homes just waiting for yard sales and home moves.BeaglePuss wrote:Where in the states did you managed to land the cab?jonny wrote:yea it was a stellar deal, great guy who sold me that aero and a windy. imported the cabs like 10 years ago to the states. it's always nice meeting cool people when you go to buy gear like this because it's better odds the person may be a completely anti-social person.

it has some cigarette burns that i wont be able to do much about, but i really don't want to reproduce any art, so i'll most likely just live with them. i'll post pics when i get around to cleaning it up, but it's like 3rd in line right now as far as "things that need done" go.

Re: SEGA Aero City history, anyone know it well?
Hi Jonny!
Can you help me please to find the right color for mint version?
I would like to reproduct the mint Aero City version (as repo) and i need to know the RAL or PANTONE color number.
It will be great to know the measure of the side bands (because are not the same bands of the blu version).
Many thanks in advance.
