Where did you get your cabinets?

Post by chubsta »

Mainly aimed at UK peeps i guess - I hope to buy a candy - Astro city or something similar - at the end of the year, early january, but am guessing that these things are pretty thin on the ground in the UK. Apart from those who got them from the group orders on KC, which i guess we wont see for a while, if at all again, i was wondering if anyone had any pointers that may help me get one? i have looked at sites such as highway entertainment and am considering getting one through them but of course the shipping costs are pretty prohibitive..

anyone care to enlighten me as to how they got theirs?

craig and andy from Andy Geezer Services probably have a few naomi's,otherwise look here on the sales or keep your eyes open on ebay.
some distributors have cabs from time to time but they always want silly money

Got my uni from Arcade Sales. Decent price, not too bad condition and came with marquee! Can't complain.

In the Netherlands caborders are finally getting off the ground.. I got my New astro city 2 weeks ago. The seller still has some Astro's left I think and is starting a new order for Egret II and Blast city cabinets. The forum is in dutch but you can try to contact him, rklok also has a store on ebay. Maybe shipping from our country is affordable...

And I was (am) one of these lucky ones. As mentioned earlier R.klok is setting up a new group order for Egret II and Blast City Cabs (see his post on this forum somewhere). He deals a lot on Ebay and he is specialized in Japanese game items (games, consoles and accessories). I can assure you that he is a very reliable and customer-orientated quy. Also very pleasant to talk to about gaming stuff.

Most of the net/new nets conversions in UK floating around are from Andy Geezer Services.. Done about 10 so far.
I am now using offical leg and frame covers, so no more hacksaw jobs..

@Chubsta, you saw some when you collected the mushy.. so you know the condition..
Say hello to my little friend...

Yeah, and very nice they looked too - i would guess they are probably n better condition than the day they left the factory! Unfortunately they are probably a little out of my price range, particularly as Im not a huge fan of the 'net' style. Do you ever get your hands on the "Astro City' style cabs?
