Re: Paprium
I’m pretty torn on this...
I love using my OG Mega Drive, I love beat em ups, in particular SoR2, and I truly believe that we should support projects like this so that there will be more like it...
Thing is, £130 is a lot of money despite the ‘collector’ route they’ve gone down. I’ve only recently learnt of the game, so I’m not ‘invested’ like those who’ve spent years following development, and I really don’t think I can justify the spend.
How are people finding the actual gameplay?

Re: Paprium
Yeah they’ve doubled the price to recoup losses.
Too much for me though. It was interesting at around £50-£60 or whatever it was at first.

Re: Paprium
Was it ever at £60!!
I’d snap it up for that, but to more than double the price is crazy...
I’m no economics bod, but surely costs more in lost sales than it makes in increased profit? Right??

Re: Paprium
It's $129, that's hardly a lot for brand new game on bespoke hardware.

Re: Paprium
Granted, I hadn’t noticed the $129 tier, I thought $169 was the low, and I also hadn’t done the currency conversion... but £95 is still a big whack.
I’m not saying it’s outrageous money, and I totally accept with projects like this that the money isn’t the point... but it is still a factor...
Admittedly, now I’ve realised it’s sub £100 I’m closer to pulling the trigger.

Re: Paprium
If you truly believe we should support projects like these then you either haven't followed the last 8 or so years of this project or you have a different idea of what deserves support and what does not

Re: Paprium
To be fair, my comment did say that I hadn’t been following development so wasn’t as ‘invested’ as many, and I’ve already acknowledged that I was wrong on both the base price and the fact I hadn’t considered the exchange rate difference too...
Good to hear! I might just get involved after all...

Re: Paprium
I’m sure it was, back a few years ago. Maybe after the 10% discount.

Re: Paprium
The investor editions were $50 and the limited editions were $40 for investors. Granted we went through nearly 9 years of nonsense for that, but we got them cheap. Not like I would ever back anything like this again now though.

Re: Paprium
Was that collectors edition? Mine was 62.10 usd (???) for standard edition, after exchanging some “gems” i paid 60,10 usd
Their website is weird as hell, i have a preorder which has status "refunded", which i can check out for shipping with payment 0,00 usd.

Re: Paprium
How much did you have to pay at the time to get the full whack including that stick?
