Surprised to see that exa mode is alot more manageable than the original mode, was expecting a crushing ultra experience,
does look fun tho :)

EXA mode has adaptive difficulty so it really depends on how well you play.

...and the original mode:

"This is a good look at Original Mode in the new DDP SDOJ EXA Label version. The player, Yu, clears Expert mode with Type C, and even beats Hibachi without dying (which is quite a feat). This was recorded at Fujimidai Game Park on 12/12/2020."

Is no one else enjoying the hell out of this?

Or did you all order the limited edition, but too ashamed to admit it? 😁

Pre-ordered the LE on day 1, and it hasn’t shipped yet. :(
According to BEEP, it should arrive some time next week.

Given the pandemic, this is certainly good to see!

BEEP got theirs. They say the POPs are to follow as they were freshly printed yesterday.

Counted 30 units of hardware and 35 units of games. Not bad!

Given how much of a hard-on collectors have for cardboard I'm surprised how crap the exA packaging is.

I am less shocked by the cardboard than by the collector’s items....

Like others, I am not surprised that Exa Arcadia is selling like hotcakes in Japan since it is their most active market, in spite of the pandemic. I hear from a few folks like Arcade Heroes that tout that 2021 will be the year of Exa Arcadia.

Even the latest announcement of Exa Arcadia IO boards are sure going to help strengthen its brand.

I thought we wouldn't see them until next year 😅

I guess that would have been the case with EMS.

It's luck really. EMS shipment from Japan to Belgium takes 2 days. BUT it then may stay at Belgian customs for up to 2 months.
If you're lucky, your package is not held for inspection and is released directly making it as fast as DHL for one third of the cost.

#42 reporting in!
Limited edition arrived today in Hokkaido, despite the blizzard outside.

The game may not look the best, but it feels and plays great! exA Label’s adjustable difficulty, while high, makes it approachable.
I can see myself easily spend the next year or so on it.

The print quality on the motherboard is much better than I was expecting. Looks really good.
Oh and the pop is huge. Like I-have-no-idea-what-I-am-going-to-do-with-this-thing humongous. It is wider and nearly as tall as my office door.

Finally, the exA system by itself is really nice. It may be Windows-based, but there is absolutely no way to tell from the outside. It boots in what, 20 seconds? The game itself loads in less than 10 seconds on top of this.
