Is the Progear difficulty the same in the Japanese and USA as default?

Pretty sure US/EU defaults to difficulty 3 and JP default is 4. Someone else might be able to confirm/deny that.

No, not really.

We simply make an implicit allowance for pussies that play the US/World versions.

But is it noticeable ?

Because I know the Super street fighter 2 Turbo CPS2 ( 2X the Japanese version ) has a much higher difficult than the 2X Japanese version being both the same default difficult

Yep, there are noticeable differences. Slightly more bullets from smaller aircrafts, also more and faster bullets from bosses.
You can tell it's there in an instance, if you try it for yourself :)

Resurrection!!

Geldra (ADM) - 5159710 - Stage 4 (JPN PCB (dirty conversion))

Not really playing for score, just sheer survival. Havent seen Stage 4 boss yet. :(

Holy crap, I was just getting on here today to check to see if there's a thread on this because I just played this game. Glad to see no one's gone to the 2nd loop yet. Haha.
