Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
A few pages ago it was stated that a separate account is needed to log into the wiki. How do we get this account? there is no registration page that i can see...?
I didn't want to make a big change, someone else can do it. I've always told people the 138-in-1 had the most games because of the count at the bottom of this page :
https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/MVS_Multicart
But today, I was cataloging my games to create a "cheat sheet" for people to find what games they want to play at events I may run.
Counted the games only on the 161-in-1, then counted the number of games only on the 138-in-1. they were the same... That doesn't make sense.
So then I counted the number of checkmarks under the 138-in-1 and under 161-in-1. The bottom of the 161-in-1 should be 97. not 94. So i've been giving people inaccurate information this entire time. Still I prefer the games in the 138-in-1 compare to the 161. and most of the people I told would agree with me anyway.

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Wiki still needs login fixing. I need a chunk of spare hours to look at it

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Wiki login fixed, you can now make edits again!
I've also made a number of tweaks to image uploading that should make it far more painless - should be no more manual resizing required for large files at all in most cases, provided the image is smaller than 8MB. Turns out there were core adjustments from earlier versions of phpbb3 that aren't very well described in the settings...

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Any chance you can slow the forum down a bit please?
AO pages load so damn quick that the two finger swipe back on my laptop trackpad usually does two pages, as it's already loaded the previous page before I've finished swiping. I can't find another website that loads so damn quick.
Keep up the good work

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
We score pretty highly on the main web page speed tests... I've done just about everything I can find to wring performance out. Theres no reason any site cant load quickly, its just a lack of caring about itwigsplitta wrote: ↑August 6th, 2020, 4:22 pmAny chance you can slow the forum down a bit please?![]()

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
I've been getting an intermittent server busy error page when sending pm's the last few days, it'll usually resolve within a minute or two, just a heads up
Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
Performance seems to have nosedived the past few days. Not sure if it's related to certain topics or just some minutes it is and some it isn't. I've seen a mysql error page at one time too, something about max connections reached if i recall correctly.

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.
I've noticed the same. We are seeing abnormally high usage, I'll see if there's anything I can do.
