Vertical games in a Vewlix

Post by g60hot »

So in my quest to build my perfect collection from my containers I have a few questions.

I’m going to keep a Namco Noir as it’s an awesome cabinet and in many ways I prefer it to the vewlix...don’t shoot me for that comment as I’m also going to keep a Viewlix AMI too.

So I was going to keep the Namco for Tekken 6 and 7 and also I was going to wire up the Taito type x in there too for all the horizontal games on the system.

I was going to have the viewlix in Tate mode so I can play all the vertical shooters on it but what true 16:9 hi def vertical shooters are worth getting and keeping the AMI for?

I also have 2 windys 2s one in horizontal and one in Tate for all the old school Jamma shooters and my Naomi net boot stuff

Cheers Guys

There are none. Aka and Blue will be the first.

SHMUPS wise you're better feeding the TATE'd Windy than the Vewlix.
2 * Vewlix Diamond Blacks,2 * Vewlix-F, 1 * Sega Rally 3, 1 * Video Pinball, 1 * DinoKing (JAMMA Converted).

Agreed, unless you put a Japanese Xbox 360 in there.

That sounds interesting! So by the sounds of it there is no point having a vertical Vewlix unless I’m putting in an xbox in.

Correct - there are shmups on ttx1 & ttx2 but they're not HD .

I'm still going to Tate one of mine "because I can!"....
