Help with Blast City Control Panel
Hello there,
I'm hoping someone can help me, I'm new to the hobby.
I've recently purchased a new control panel for my blast city with 6 buttons (to replace my old panel with 4 buttons).
My old panel - all 4 buttons and joystick worked with no issues. This panel when I plug into the 3 slots (as seen in picture), none of the buttons or the joysticks work.
Could anyone point me in the right direction of what is required to troubleshoot or if another part is required to make the 6 button panel work?
Thanks a bunch!

You're missing the ground connection (pin 12, bottom left) on both 1P and 2P harnesses:

Did the harnesses come with the panel? Or did you buy them separately?
Also, your kick harness won't work with Pandora as is. Pandora has all the buttons on the jamma edge. You need something that will feed the button inputs from the jamma edge to the kick harness. I'm sure there's a product for that purpose, but I haven't looked into it.

Hey there, thanks for the reply. The harness came with the panel
Here's an upclose of the harness wiring

Here's what the old button harness wiring looks like (just re-plugged it in, working fine)

Re: Help with Blast City Control Panel
See the white wire at the bottom left of the P1 and P2 connectors? Add that to your new harness and it will start working. Or even better, just use your original harness. It's OEM and most likely way better quality.
Whoever made the harness that came with the panel is an idiot. That person most likely daisy chained ground from the kick harness. The problem is if you have nothing connected at the IO board end, it won't work.

Re: Help with Blast City Control Panel
Thank you Nem, I really appreciate your assistance!
I will endeavour to rewire the harness, just have to figure out what tool is necessary to remove pins from the harness and what is needed to make them stay in the socket

You can remove the pins with a paperclip. Jam the end of the clip above the pin into the connector housing. Then yank the clip and the pin at the same time, and the pin will come out. Then just insert the pin in the other connector, the pin will just lock in to place.

Re: Help with Blast City Control Panel
Thanks, I've managed to remove the wires but alas, the pin did not survive. the two white wires were crimped into one pin so it was a difficult task with the paperclip. Have to order a few pins.
Is this the right size pin to order "NON-INSUL. QUICK-DISCONNECT TERMINALS .187""?

For cab connector end:
https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/AMP_Universal_Power
For button quick disconnects, .110" (2.8mm) is the correct size.
