Xbox 360 to Jamma 15Khz

Post by Makoto »

Hi there,

I am looking forward hooking my 360 into my Cab.
Back then I had an AWSD, a Stereo Amp and some Padhacks. So no big deal via VGA 31KHz.
Now I want it in 15khz. I saw some solutions with the UVC which seems quite nice, but I can't find it to buy.
Maybe there is a newer or even better option..

Do you guys have some ideas? Would be great.
Thanks in advance

Extron Emotia: http://scanlines.hazard-city.de/
The only versions to feature 240p output are the Extron Emotia, the Emotia Plus, the Super Emotia and the Super Emotia GX. Other models like the Super Emotia II or Emotia Xtreme have dropped their 240p capability.

I have a new smaller extron at home, bought it years ago. I'll take a look which it is. Thx.
I saw the solution with sync strike on an extron, guess for now it's the best option.

If the Extron route doesn't pan out and you're OK with 480i, you can get this: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=41246 (with Playstation adapter), add a couple of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PS2-to-XBOX3 ... SwoH1ant-6 and an original Microsoft Advanced Scart cable

Menus won't look as crispy, but gameplay is decent.

You also have the Extron VSC+RGB setup:
http://scanlines.hazard-city.de/

Not as perfect as the Emotia but also flexible and easy to adjust with geometry positioning.

If interested, i might consider selling or trading my setup since i no longer use it. (vsc 500 + RGB 130). I don't know where you're from, but in Europe these aren't that easy to come by...

Now I need some help.
I hooked up the xbox 360 via rgb Scart to the sync strike, VGA to the extron 160xi bnc Rgbs to the cab or ossc.it seems that i have sync issues.
The ossc shows nothing and says no sync. On the cab the picture goes from up to down and doesnt stop.
So can someone give me the right pinout for the male Scart from the bnc please.thanks alot.

Did you get this solved yet? I don't know that Extron unit, so I can't help, sorry.

I did come across this that seems like a wonderful machine from a Facebook post in the shmups group tonight: https://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=63226

It also has scaling capabilities, meaning you should be able to play bad ports like Deathsmiles 2 in proper 4:3 with it. I might have to go shopping for one. :-o
