What kind of pcb are in the Japanese vewlix .

Post by Frankenstuff »

I have a Japanese vewlix L that has been modified with a two player control panel and is running a Pandora’s box . I would like to tone down the amount of games and focus on more up to date games and was visiting a arcade here in the US called Round1USA . They have Japanese vewlix’s that have a menu at the bottom that you can scroll from left to right within and select multiple games including Street fighter 4 , King of fighters xIII , blazeblu and others . I’ve taken a photo but I’m having trouble with the image hosting site. Does anybody know what kind of pcb they are running ? I will admit I’m very new to arcade ownership but would really appreciate the time if anyone can point me in the right direction.

I believe Round1 are the only arcades outside of Japan with legit access to Taito's Nesica x Live system, but as yosai said, there's a less than legit multigame out there that will run most of the titles.

I guess what I would really like if possible would be the legit equipment if possible . I get the feeling that that may be impossible here in the US . I’ve spent the last couple weeks trying to track it down but haven’t found any real leads .

For personal use NESiCAxLive isn't going to happen.

You have quite a few choices with the Vewlix, for example,

Type X2/X3 with original games. One game per HDD/USB swap them out to change game.
Type X2 with a multi-game HDD.
Regular PC with a JVS interface and the multi-game HDD.
Regular PC running PC software and JVS-PAC (or similar)
Console xbox/playstation and Brook Universal Fighting Board (or similar)
...
