Re: Introduce yourself here!
HI there, I'm John, from London and I'm a fairly avid video game player and collector. I've recently got into playing lots of Japanese Saturn titles (shoot em ups, beat em ups) and its wealth of arcade ports, which I like to play with my two Japanese Virtua Sticks! I'm really into Layer Section at the moment for example.
I think one day (once I have the required space, I would like to get a Sega cab, an Astro City possibly) but really want to do my research on here first to make sure I know what I'm getting myself into, both technically and financially!
I look forward to talking to you in the future.
Kind regards
John

Hi there,
Been lurking for a while and making use of the excellent wiki!
Had a net City for about a year now and have been wrestling with restoring it!
After some pics or pinout for the capcom 2L12B panel to maple cables

Hey everyone,
My name is DJ and I look forward to learning all there is to know about arcade and especially candy cabs. I currently own killer instinct 1, 2, mortal kombat 1, 2 and umk3. It is a fun and expensive hobby, however all worth it.I look forward to good times in here with fellow enthusiasts.

Hi,
I'm Matthew. I'm in the UK.
I built a MAME arcade cabinet from a flat pack a year or two ago, but the LCD just didn't do it for me, so I'm now looking to buy a candy cab (probably a New Astro City) sometime in the next 6 months. Hit me up if you know of a good one!
Thanks!

New to the forum. Fan of shmups and brawlers mostly.. current project is a Konami Simpsons rebuild with a few other 4-player PCBs and a switcher. Been reading info for a while from these boards and finally got it together to register.

Hi from Germany.
Pascal, 34 years of age and recently acquired a messy Sega Naomi Universal Cab which is missing the CRT and the mainboard.
As for now I am in the process of cleaning all the dust, coke and other disturbing things out of the shell.

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello from France.
Got into arcade games with a supergun by 2004.
My personnal video games resurgence caught me with the Neo-Geo AES first. That was by 2001, after the heavenly low-prices period that followed
the first 3D consoles arrival, but also before prices skyrocked .
Then I discovers this little black box called the MAK supergunn, allowing me to play the arcade games I have always dreamed of on my TV with my Neo-Geo controllers.
That was a starter for me to get into arcade.
As my child arcade memories were for the most part based on beat'em ups, my first game was an original US Final Fight.
To this day this is still my favorite kind of game when played with a buddy, but occasions tend to get rarer as getting older with life and things.
So other genre that I still love to play are "run'n gun" ( Metal Slugs, who doesn't ??, Mystic Warriors), "sidescrollers" and "shmups".
By 2008 I took the step and bought my own cab, a cool Egret 2 that I used to find less desirable than the New Astros that were sitting aside in the shop
, but wich appeared to be the best solution for me to also stop laying my TV on its side to play vertical shooter. To this day I really prefered the cool green layout
of the Astro's to the pinky look of Eget's and Windy's but I kind of like it way more now, especially beacause of its confortable and cool looking control panel.
To this day this cab is my trusty fiend when I find a moment to get me a session.

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello @ All! new here and new to owning arcades (or soon to be owning)
I am planning on making my first long awaited purchase this year! I plan on starting with a Vewlix L but hope to eventually get a Sega Astro City and/or Vs City as well as A Street Fighter 3s CPS3 setup going for Jazzy Circuit Practice. I'm starting from knowing nothing drowning myself in research and going in on buying a single cab, then hopefully as time and knowledge progress doing upgrades myself, maintenance, and hunting down awesome additions and upgrades to my collection! I hope to engage in as many learning experiences as I can here and hope to make many friends with the same interest as me!
Thanks!

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hi all,
My names Tom and I have a problem... not enough cabs lol.
I've had a fascination with arcades ever since going down the local sea front amusements at a young age and sitting in a deluxe Space Harrier. With it's banging tunes, flashing lights, and moving seats I was hooked. Now that I'm all grown up I scratch my arcade itch by helping to save cabs from the skip down at The Heart of Gaming in London, UK.

Re: Introduce yourself here!
Hello all, I recently acquired an Egret 3 for my man cave, and I friggin' love it. I have loved learning about it and check out everything inside. I just wish it came with a 2p panel instead of the 1p, but I'm hoping to run into one someday. Can I get approved for the marketplace? Thanks!
